Gauge pods for H2

There are no real guage pods made specifically for the H2--I have been working with Autometer on this but nothing yet.

Hopefully a few on here can give you some creative pics of pods they have had done.

I am interested as well.

Right now I am fabricating some pods for one of my machines but they will not be out for months.

HGW, what about using the simple dash pods and mounting them on top of the dash just above the speedo?

I have thought about mounting the gauge pods on the dash above the speedometer or in the center above the two air vents. I also talked with Autometer and they offer nothing customized for the H2. I guess that on top of the dash is the only alternative. Has anyone got any experience with this? Matching the colors? Ensuring that it does not look like a kludge?

Yes, you can use the single pods---I have seen them like this and they look fine---I was thinking of a cluster type pod above.

Mine is mounted on the A-pillar. It's not custume and the pillar trim had to be cut. Ou an see it in this pic. The fit looks good, but it's not perfect.

Lingenfelter can get that price--but it is WAY out of line---I have seen that on their site before.

BTW--I like to have a boost guage and at least a fuel pressure guage when using a MAG.

I apologize if you have given details about your setup before, but what guages are you using? Are they commonly available, or is that a custom job in your vehicle? It looks great! What is the center LED section for? It looked like tires or something?

I can visit with My guys about thoughts on a cluster that would mount right over speedo. I have one like Jonahs but, alterted it a little. It suited My needs very well. Has boost on left LCD, A/F lights in the middle with a switch between the 2 a/F lights one for each bank of cylinders to turn them off and a LCD fuel pressure gauge on the right. On the far left and far right are the switches that turn off roof lights front and rear. I cannot use over the top of speedo because that is where the HUD is going We think. We got Our last parts in off backorder so BLOWNZ06 will have a report soon and in My hands to install on My ride. My guys work in carbon fiber as in molding sheets not premade and bondo that looks unreal and many other types of materials and glass. We make Our own sub boxes out of carbon or glass and paint glass and use fiber material just lot's of option's. I would need to know what gauge you want to use by brand, size, and function to begin to look at making something that will integrate into the dash and look like it belongs there.
My forced induction guy said give Him a boost gauge and fuel pressure gauge with decent wideband tuning software and He can do his best work. We are using a Keene Bell Boost a Pump so that We can actually lean or richen the fuel by the fuel pressure gauge as We drive. Just a little fine tuning nothing major. You have to be careful as You can lean it out real easy and quicker than You will notice and be in trouble. Same can happen with richness but, You will wash the cyclinder walls and gauld the walls. So if You do any of this stuff be sure You have an expert help You set it up and fix safety limits in the setup so you do not make a BoBo.

That is really neat. I have wanted gauges on the A pillar for awhile, and wanted to graft them onto the factory pillar, but never really had the time to experiment. You guys are probably much better at this stuff than me. I've never really done much before, I just bought a package of fibreglass sheets and the goop and everything. Where I work, we do a lot of fibreglass work, but I've never hit them up for some help. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif A subwoofer box would be a nice thing to work on too. I am taking measurements this weekend to make something similar to the JL Stealthbox, for a 15" Soundstream Tarantula subwoofer I have sitting around from my last vehicle. I was thinking of mirroring it for the passenger side too, for my Soundstream Davinci amplifier. Unfortunately, the only thing I can work with is MDF board. I have a Vortech supercharger installed, and was thinking of the following gauges:
Boost pressure
Fuel pressure
Air/fuel mix
Exhaust temp
Supercharger air input temp (to make sure the air cooler is working)
