They called me after dinner and asked me to come down. I DID NOT KNOW UNTIL I GOT THERE.

They were unloading 15 or so H2 SUTs onto the lot. The news crews were there in full force. It was a blast!

Bringing the digi cam tommorrow. Will post pics.

Well, it sounds like an early XMAS for some of you guys. Coincidentally, one of my Canadian brokers just came across my trading box and said that he had gotten a call from his old high school buddy who is a GM at one of the Hummer Dealerships up there. This guy had told me broker that they had just received a small batch of the H2 SUT's.

I told my broker that he "HAD" to go down there and snap some pics for me and email them to me. So, hopefully, I will have some pics to post tomorrow.

Well you guys can lay off Dennis because apparently you'll be able to see them soon depending on where you are. I was out on the trail yesterday so missed all of this talk but I met up with a friend of mine who works on Hummers (primarily H1's) who said he was picking up his SUT next week (he's going to tear it apart, soup up the engine blah, blah and show it). The same thing happened with the H2 when it came out. They sent them by train to the West Coast for the launch. I guess they believe it's best to launch them in California. I can only believe they're in Canada first because of a delivery mishap to California. My H2 was delayed about 3 weeks. I would keep calling and they would say it's on its way. If you have one on order I would think you should have it soon.

PhilD, IMHO, US is 10 years ahead of Europe on almost all consumer technologies and usage, not to mention in the PC hardware and software and accessories. In the cellphone area, there is or was some confusion in different standards, and the use of older technologies is often intentional and for commercial and marketing reasons, especially 10 years ago. One has to remember 10 years ago cellphone was a large and heavy as a brick, very few people used cellphone those days, anywhere in the world. If you have the distribution and market share, your unique standard can protect you from foreign competitions. Not much different than the basic principles behind different width of railroad tracks in some countries, which was done for national defense when railroad was a powerful tool of war in terms of logistic and firepower.
