If I remember right 442, you need to do that NAV disc update that Kodiakz was mentioning to get the firmware upgrade. The 50d can do it out of the box but the 30d requires that update....

442,
You will need the updated disc to do that on the 30d. I was trying to get a few members in on one to share the cost, but only 1 responded. Spread the word a little and I will be happy to order one and lend out my backup ;) ;)

I did some digging and pull images off the web.. Someone had mentioned that Hummer uses franklin gothic heavy font. I have tried it but still does not look right. I'll attach the font you can try... Let me know if you get it to work.
Instructions:
Type in the word "HUMMER" in the franklin gothic heavy font, and highlight the HUMMER you just typed in. Then, select "FONT" from the pulldown menu in MS-Word.
- Select "Character Spacing"
- Change the scale to 250 percent
- Change the spacing to "condensed" by "9pt"

I just got the upgrade disc from kodiakz... WOW... I finally figured out that I had a problem with my CD burning utility. I switched computers and now I have my custom boot-up screen with the image above. I haven't tried out the rest of the system to see what the changes are... I think it was only more roads added and more points of interest. I tried my iPod and it still sucks as an iPod interface... But it does work.
