Does Anyone know how I can make my Driving Lights come on any other way? I would love to make them into fog lights but don't know how to do it. I have a toggle switch I can mount under the dash.
Thanks

Check this old post for ALL the info.
Use find on the post to search for info, I used DRL JUMPER.

As Tim says there are many posts on different ways to do this, BUT as many might have been waiting for, SMA has come out with what they call the H2 Brush Guard Valance for use w/ PIAA Lamps - Product SKU: 201-103-4

It is now available directly from SMA.

Search the Forum for PhilD and Hum2, especially under the lighting forum. We have a great answer(s) to your questions.

Waiting for the SMA valance. DRLs aren't much use. I would prefer to have fogs than DRLs. Putting factory driving on the brush guard and 520 crystal ion fogs on the valance. Paid $300 for it. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Correction -- canceled valance order! Valance won't work with factory brush guard. Really screwed up my plans. Has anyone used the SMA valance with a factory installed brush guard?

http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gifI talked to SMA and they're a really great bunch of guys. They gave me the specs on their valance. If my measurments and theirs are accurate, their valance might well work with the factory installed brush guard. According to our measurements, there is 1/8 gap on either side of the SMA valance once installed with the factory brushguard. That should be enough to allow the hood to open.

We'll see and I'll let everyone know in about two weeks. Keep your fingers crossed. Fogs instead of the DRLs would be huge improvement especially in the winter! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Replace the DRL's with the 03 Lincoln Navigator fog fixtures, easy and excellent lighting, then either jump the relays or wire a separate switch. Check the other lighting threads by PhilD or Hum2.

http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gifSorry to report that the valance does not work with the factory installed brush guard. Great piece though -- all metal with the same finish of the factory guard but it needs another 1/2" to 3/4" to allow the hood to open with the factory guard.

Too bad, it would have been perfect with the PIAA 520 fogs replacing the DRLS.

Nothing but praise for everyone at SMA. Great bunch of guys! THANKS! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
