A riddle, with a prize.
Guess what it is, and it is yours (if you still want it after you learn what it is).
(Not my Hummer, or any Hummer parts. Not my dog, but you can have the ex.:D )
It is something most, but not all, would appreciate and use.
It will answer many of your questions, and might confuse some.
It is not edible.
Direct sunlight can destroy it.
Extreme cold can make it brittle.
It will fly through the air, but not recommended.

Not a magic 8 ball, condom, laptop or pony. Not the service manuals on CD.
However, I will say someone is close, but Alex Trebec would ask for a judges ruling, and, "the judges say it must be exact.":D

Service manuals on DVD.
BTW, what is your definition of "most". Most H3 owners or most ordinary people?

Or maybe an encyclopedia on DVD...that is if "most" means ordinary people.

I don't think most people would appreciate and use. I know I don't have a record player :)

You got it...
They stopped CDs a year or two ago, so technically, it is not on a CD.
Most H3 owners on this forum probably will use the DVDs, but some won't. Hell I have no idea what I meant by ordinary people, not sure if I have ever met any, or want too. :-)

f5,
You're killin' me. Theoretically, we must again ask the judges because you said that someone (singular) is close when there were actaully three people who guessed service manuals on CD.

Alex Trebec rules would be:
"What is a Hummer H3 Service Manual DVD?"
:D

That would still be wrong since it's not just H3 service manuals.

Don't temp me.
"What is a Hummer Service Manual DVD"
NA!;) I think f5 said (pm) that it's for the H3 and the rest of the GM family of vehicles. Plus you forgot the question mark. ;)
I should probably be careful who I piss off lest they convince f5fstop to change his mind.
audio cassette tape manuals....
Oh, like books on tape? Good listening for the next wheeling trip.

No, the statement is correct. Since only one would win, only one was close.

My vote is to stay w/DVD answer. Why? Because you've previously posted before (way back in the days of the old elcova forums), that they don't release on CD and that the full service DVD for all GM was like $400 or something.
Not that I've obsessively monitored every single one of your posts waiting for this announcement or anything... :)
btw, where do I get it? can I order from my local $tealer?

Paper H3 manuals are available from Helm for $135.00 a set. These are the actual GM service manuals for the H3.

Ordered. I may someday get the DVD, but I prefer paper. I still have all the FSMs for my last few vehicles, all covered in grease, dirty, and well used - as any FSM should be!

does the DVD cover all 2006 models? I can go halves on teh DVD w/my brother and parents (2006 2500, 2006 1500, 2006 Tahoe) and then use it for my '88 Suburban.
thx

The DVD has to remain in the computer to use. It is locked from copying files to a hard drive. So, if you were going to control the disc, no problems.
