Hi All -
Been reading this forum for a long time. Even voted for hottest mom contest last summer for ... one of the woman on here. (Can't rememebr her name now)
Thought I'd log in now to let spead the word about a cheap gas story I just came across.

Hummer H3 - Love it. Want one. Almost ready to get one. Appreciate all the knowledgeable folks here. Not much of a 4 wheeler...yet. Lots of snow up here in upsate NY in the winter. Bet the H3 would love driving thru it.

Peace & thanks.

it pisses me off that they would mostly include the liberal states where only true HUMMER nuts would buy a H3, what about the states where there are lots of people on the fence. I fall into the HUMMER buyer who would bought without the gas but it sure would have been sweet...

I agree complete. I would think there are at least as many conservative areas in FL as there are liberal.

Most of FL is conservative, except for that part of the state (Miami/Dade County) where they do not know how to vote in the first place.
As for the fuel incentive, it is purely marketing. Two of the states where GM has little share of the market is CA and FL (except for northern parts of FL).
The only vehicle GM makes that sells great in CA is the HHR; don't ask me why, I believe it is due to the nuts that live there.
Southern FL is like most of CA, a haven for foreign made SUVs; although Ford has a big presence in FL.

I drive 123,483 miles per year. Using GM's math, I should be eligible for $209,304 in gasoline rebates between now and the end of 2007.:p

unfortunately its about the same as a $1000 rebate for most people...

Where can I get more info on this fuel rebate ? I just bought a '06 H3 a month ago and the dealer said there was no promotions going on except for a Conquest Rebate of $1000.

Thank you for voting for me. The support from this forum put me in the Top 5 finalists. Definitely an experience that I won't forget (no matter how hard I try!;) ) :)

OK, maybe Florida is a little conservative leaning, I guess I am still a little peaved that when they voted, they could not push that "tough" chad completely off for the voting card, complained that the way the ballot was organized confused them and then to make things worse had people counting "intended votes" That would be the chads that had dimple marks in and looked like people meant to vote.

That was not Florida in general, that was South FL, Miami area. You might as well call it New York since it is full of people that have moved down from there. That is why it is so liberal down there.

I do like Florida, when at Ft Benning we used to road trip to Panama City all the time, for some reason politics were never discussed when we were there. My apologies to all Florida residents who were offended

No apologized needed. I for one did not take offense :D

You were in the right part of FL. Pan handle is definitely more conservative. That was one of the issues with the election, the news was announcing their exit polls when the voting locations were closing in south FL. A lot of pan handle conservatives didn't vote since they are an hour behind and based on the reports they were seeing, there was no point in them going ahead and voting.

No offense here -- as recent history proves FL and politics can be quite wishy-washy..:)

Thats my neck of the woods(actually i live in Destin). This is most certainly a conservative community with the exception of some vactioners who keep there mouth shut as they are out number(out population is 11k and get hundreds of thousands of visitors mostly from the south). Need i remind anyone our Governor is Jeb Bush.
