We finally bought an SUV, not an H2, but it is AMERICAN. So that should make a lot of people happy here.

And no, my husband does not understand the concept that he is white. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

White diamond 2004 Cadillac Escalade, 20" 9-spoke chrome rims, wood interior package, dual tip chrome exhaust, euro taillights.

We are now officially pimped out.

Stacy,

Never mind the commentary. With our 5th child on the way we are looking for a larger rig as well. With the 3rd row bench in the Hummer, we can seat 8 so the H2 stays. Besides, I don't think my wife will ever give up that truck.

However, we have a minivan that we're thinking of selling for a 9 passenger suburban. I'd get an Escalade in a heartbeat if it sat 9 people though. :-)

BTW - that's the best color Escalade

You might be in luck. Cadillac came out with the Escalade ESV this year. It seats 8 - will that work?

I agree color-wise. We looked at the black, but the white diamond was it. Cadillac also has a color called white lightning for their sedans, similar to the white diamond but with more of a chromallusion (sp?) effect. Very nice.

Hey, wiggaz rule. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Stacey,

We've spent the last two weeks looking at Escalade ESV's and Denali XL's. We've decided to keep the minivan at least for the first few months after the baby is born but then I'll trade it in for a Escalade ESV or Denali XL.

When you were shopping around did you compare or even consider the Yukon Denali XL. I think it's a nice looking rig (from the front) and it seems I can get Nav and DVD on both models. My wife likes the Escalade but once the baby is bigger she'll take over the Hummer.

I like those lines on the Escalade but it is $10,000.00 more!

We looked at the Denali...and the Expedition, Navigator, Land Cruiser, etc. It basically came down to if he was going to drive a vehicle that handled like a truck, it had better make up for it in comfort. The Denali was nice, but for us, the Escalade was "it". The interior styling and comfort just could not be beat, and we preferred the exterior styling over the Denali as well. The dealership also played a role here. We've been extremely happy with Ken Batchelor, where we got the H2, and knew we would get great service with the Cadillac as well.

It did cost more than the Denali (and the Hummer), but it was within our price range.

I guess it's a matter of personal preference. We are very happy with the Escalade.

That is one of my favorite trucks. The only thing (and it is minor) is that the back seat windows don't even go down half way. But if you think about it, if I had one (wife really likes it) I wouldn't sit in the back seat anyway. Great color.

Stacey,

I'll be trading in our H2 tomorrow morning for a Yukon XL. How is the ride with 20's on your Escalade compared the the stock ride? I just took off my 20" setup from my H2 and drove around with the stock 17's. I forgot how much better the ride was with the stock wheels. Is it the same with your rig?

Stacy,

Got the GMC Yukon XL that seats nine (yes 9) people! I had to get the 22" Milanni's of course...

I also just orded the Denali front end kit. It raplaces the lights, bumper and grille. They did not make a Denali trim that seats nine.

Damn I miss my wife's Hummer!

I wish I could give you more info, but I still haven't driven the Escalade (by choice, not because of territorial issues. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif). My husband drove stock and then with the 20s and said there was a night and day difference tho...the 20 ride was MUCH smoother. I don't know if it was the actual ride, or if he didn't notice the road bumps because he was too busy looking at the reflection of his wheels on the pavement. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
