View Full Version : Getting the 06, deal is too good to pass up! Have to wait 12 days though! Ahhhhhhhhhh
Like a lot of you I was on the fence for the whole 06 or 07 deal! But just got off the phone with the sales rep and I couldn't pass this one up! He said the new rates and incentives came through and had a great offer!
06 Adventure
Boulder Gray
Ebony
Auto
XM Satellite
Navigation
Sunroof
Roof Lamp Maker Lights
Brush Guard
Chrome Package
Chrome Gas Cap
Roof Rail Bags
$38,115 MSRP
$34,871.10 GMID
$1000 Conquest Cash
$1500 Adventure Package Equipped Incentive (brand new from GM/HUMMER this month!)
$32,371.10 bottom line and they are throwing in the black side bars for free! If I want the roof bows they will do them at cost! With all of the equipment this one has, free bars, and $5800 off list I couldn't say no to that and wait for 20hp!
Have been working on and off with this Dealership for a little while now and his call was totally out of the blue! Only down side to all of this is now that I finally jumped on it I have to wait 12 before I can even have it now! We are leaving for the Bahamas tomorrow morning, getting married there and staying for 10 days! I just cant let on too much that my mind will be on the H3 the whole time instead of the new wife! LOL

Congrats on the truck and the wedding! :D
Oh, one small thing...
Ditch the step bars and have them mount up rocker protection and U-steps, and then add UCP. If you think you will ever take your truck off road you'll want these. If you do go off road once I bet that you'll be doing it again. And again. And again...
Trust me. You want them.
Congratulations!!! :D

It's OK if you have to wait. Once you are married, you will either get used to it or be miserable!!!!! Your choice!!!

KJS, do you have any other info on the Adventure based 1500 incentive? I looked online and they had the line for the adventure series but nothing was listed. I'll be getting mine in the next 2 weeks and want to try and get that too! That would be HUGE.
Thanks,
Karl

I'm not sure what I can exactly pass on about it, I only knew about it b/c he called me out of the blue saying they just got Junes program details and if I was still interested in an Adventure he can do an extra $1500. Sorry couldn't be more helpful, he said its the first time they got this and is brand new as of today. That and the conquest is pretty much why I did it, it was an extra $2500 that was not there last month when I talked to him first
Congrats on the new ride(s)...great color choice!:D :D Looks like your getting a smoking deal!

For buying a GM brand SUV when you already have a non GM SUV in the household. Have to prove ownership. Like a Ford, Rover, Jeep, etc

Yep, noticed that too. Plus I talked to the Rep again and he said the $1500 is only available on the true "Adventure Series", the 1SB model level. Meaning you can NOT get the $1500 rebate on a Luxury Series that has the optional "off-road package". Has to be a straight Adventure

Yup, I noticed that too. I was surprised it was on Edmunds but not on the official GM site.

There is a new listing for the 1sb but no cash listed ... well I'll try to get it when I pick up my h3 in a couple weeks.

beware, sometimes dealers will try to (scoop) this money up so you need to bring it up when your chatting to let them know your not stupid. Sometimes sales people don't even know all the incentives.

Thanks. I was planning to mention this to the dealer this week so he knows I am aware of it. I've been lucky enough to work with the GM on this and he has been pretty good so far. I want to get as much paperwork done on the deal before I go to the dealer to pick it up. The fact that I ordered in May shouldn't matter because he we are signing the papers now ... right?
KJS, sorry to hijack the thread ... we should be getting our H3s about the same time it sounds like. I'm just hoping to get as good a deal as you did!
Cheers,
Karl

It is somewhat common to do the paperwork in advance. depending on where you live, your are not a owner till you drive it off the lot. Keep this in mind if something is not right or another offer comes up. Till your in it and on the raod it is not truly sold. Still a great deal now on the 06 and for those like me who were on the edge of being able to afford a H3.
