Onstar Diagnostic emails have stopped.

My last report was in April. Onstar has no clue why I'm not getting the emails anymore. I've checked all my email settings, switched emails, made sure they weren't in my spam folder and still nothing!

Anyone have any suggestions?

What day of the month do you normally get yours? I get mine on or about the 4th of the month. Never got the May report but got it for June. I have talked to a couple of others that didn't get a May report either so maybe yours will start up again.

Did you ever get anything useful in them? I continued to get mine during the period when OnStar my fuse was out. Thus, I was getting Diagnostic E-mails without OnStar getting any info from my vehicle. Seems like the diagnostic e-mail should have said something like: "Your OnStar ain't workin' mister!"

I set mine up and gave my email but 2 months in I have yet to receive one.

I got my truck in January and pushed the lil blue button. Got one email after that and nothing since. They even started me anew in their system and told me an email was sent on April blah blah, I never recieved it.
I get about 8 - 11 spams a day so I know my internet provider doesn't have a spam filter and I don't either and still no onstar reports....:confused:

That is a pretty low number so your ISP probably has a spam filter and the ones you are getting are just the ones that get through. That doesn't mean your onstar report is definitely being filtered but could be.

--Not really. I just thought it was a cool feature. I do like to see what the oil life meter says each month. I realized this weekend when I changed the oil that I stopped getting the emails. :)

I have gotten an email report every month. :D Thanks in part to my mad email skillz, no doubt. Btw - I don't get spam, gmail rules! ;)

When you setup the OnStar they didn't ask you about signing up for it? It is supposed to come every month on or about the date you signed up for it.

yea new, i signed up but cannot access the website to login and no confirm emails or nothing? I got some more minutes and it is working just no emails on the truck

I just checked, my last Onstar report came 5/22 - not that long ago. Been coming in around the 22nd of each month since I bought the truck, no missed months. Guess I'm just lucky?:cool:

After further research on the providers site, Bresnan, they do have a default spam filter, which the suckers never informed me about. On top of that they have the default set to automatically dump any thing "they" think is spam.
They have an option to change it to put "spam" into a folder for three days and then auto-delete.

I turned it off and resigned up for Onstar online and my report came today.

You were right after I turned off the filter for an experiment, I got about 50 spams, compared to the 10 or so that get through the filter.

Yeah, spam really sucks but glad I could help. Check and see if the filter allows you to use black lists and white lists. If it does, you could put OnStar on the white list and it will always get past the filter.
