pat riley surpasses Phil Jackson (who cleverly and luckily rode MH and kobe+shac) as king of coaches.

Begging pardon feom those who would go waaaay old-school in their selection, but anything that happened before the 70's doesn't count.

You mean MJ. And you might as well go whole hog and add the 'k' on to shac if you're going to misspell it.

Since my Blazers pretty much sucked down to the balls this season, I rooted for the Lakers & Pistons to get knocked out of the playoffs.(Kobe the anal-raper just doesn't ever need to go to the Finals again.) I decided to root for the Heat so that Payton & Mourning could get rings before getting Social Security. I saw an interview with Wade that caused me to like him as a human & a player. Seems like a good kid. I REALLY want Shaq to get another ring so that Kobe will get swollen baboon mating a$$ with butt hurt. Plus, seeing Mark Cuban SNAP will bring teh funnay.:D

Ditto. I remember the days of Clyde the Glyde, Jerome, Duckyworth,etc...

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2479950

From the article: "During the past few years we have tried to hold our players to a higher standard of accountability and behavior," team president Steve Patterson said in a statement. "Even though Zach did not break any laws, his involvement in this matter showed poor judgment and he fully understands that he needs to take more responsibility for his actions."

"Even though Zach did not break any laws, his involvement in this matter showed poor judgment " but we won't actually hold our players to a higher standard of accountability and behavior because he's the only decent player we have and if we discipline him, he'll quit and we'll have all 'highly moral' players with no talent...

I used to love the blazers... :o :(

I'm hoping we trade his dope-smoking dumb ass for the #1 pick. I can't decide who I think we should draft. Morrison would be great.

Jason

This kid has been freaking unbelievable! Just when you think you have seen everything from him, AND come to expect one bad game (Quarters 1-3, last night) - he goes and does that! UNBELIEVABLE!

I will give all Mav fans the benefit of the doubt - as there were certainly some questionable calls last night. But, come on! It is time to do the honorable thing, lay one more egg and give D-WADE and the MIAMI HEAT what is coming to them - THE NBA TITLE. It would just be the right thing to do.

Anyone have Cuban's phone number and can hook this up for me??

I have a lot of family in Dallas so feel the need to pull for the Mavs but being from FL I also feel the need to pull for the Heat. If Shaq were not on the Heat I would definitely be pulling for them. Having had a couple of run-ins with him around Orlando I can't stand that low life piece of crap.

D-Wade was un frikkin believable last night. But, I'm thinking good thoughts now that we are back in Dallas. Good thoughts are good, just wait till Tuesday! Yeah, thats the ticket, Tuesday. No, really, Tuesday it is. I mean it this time! Then Thursday, ya know? Thursday, thats it. No, really, Tuesday and Thursday. Then I can get a life, sorta.:D

Ok, it's great that they won the championship. I was hoping to see Avery Johnson or Mark Cuban snap and kill a couple of referees.:D

Now I can go back to rooting for my Blazers. Hope we don't screw the pooch on draft day again and take another Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan. :(

UN FREAKING BELIEVABLE!!!

"THE MIAMI HEAT ARE NBA CHAMPIONS!"

It seems like an eternity ago at the first Heat Draft party, "... the Miami Heat select...Rony Seikaly." 18 long years later - I can now sleep easy.

I would personally like to thank whoever set up the request I had in my earlier post - Dirk with 2 points in the fourth quarter. Whoever made that call, thanks. I owe you a cold one.

D WADE!!!!!
