$507.35 according to www.kbb.com (http://www.kbb.com)
$481.50 from www.h2parts.com (http://www.h2parts.com)
$467.38 from www.gmpartsdirect.com (http://www.gmpartsdirect.com)
$430.68 from http://www.gmaccessories-direct.com/product_info.php?products_id=3774
Not sure what the true cost is, but the above prices are available to you on the web. I negotiated with my service advisor and got mine for $480.00 and installation for $130 in January (purchased H3 in July 2005). Hope this info helps......
lol, that's why I am curious to what the true dealers cost of it is b/c the prices range so much and I haven't found something solid yet. I've even seen them on eBay for $399

Not sure what the dealer cost is either but as you saw, you can get them on Ebay for anywhere from $399-$450 all the time. I would guess that the dealer cost is a fair amount below $300 but that is just a guess.

We definitely don't want you to do that
Figured they had more markup then they do. Guess I am glad they don't :)

GM accessories normally have a 40% mark up.The mark up is lower for accessories then your ave GM replacement part.
I guess to get some of the aftermarket buisness They keep it as low as possible.

$130 labor to install is pretty good. Especially since it sometimes take 3 tries to get them installed right so there is no wind noise.

The Dealer price is closer to 400 than 300.

Brad O said $130 for installation charge only. But he might be in a relatively low cost location.

Can someone tell me what is so special about these lamps that they cost $80 each?!!! What are they, sodium vapor lamps? They look like they should cost $50 total, which they do on a Ford F350 pickup - $55 MSRP installed at the factory!

Corvette had what was called a Corvette tax; Hummer has what is called a Hummer tax. Basically, the more specialized a vehicle is, the more the parts will cost.:D
