Does anybody know how long the two accessory outlets in the front dash continue to provide power after you turn the vehicle off, remove the key and lock the doors? I've seen 20 minutes and I've seen until the battery is dead and I'm wondering if anybody has a definitive answer. The reason I'm asking is because I bought a cradle for my ipod that plugs into one of those outlets and I want to know if my battery will go dead if I leave the cradle plugged in overnight or even for a few days. Thanks.

Bebe has an electronic device that she charges all the time. That thing really get's a workout. You might want to ask her for advice.

Hey Bebe, when did you get an AE  :p
I think they are always hot. I got a high output battery which has a lot more juice than the one it came with. If I leave something turned on it doesn't seem to phase it.

Sorry, forgot to mention, I also believe they are always hot. Before I hard wired my radar detector it never effected the battery. Not positive but believe it would stay on for about 8 hours before it shut itself off.

Until the battery goes dead:D
As others have already stated, they are hot all the time, so long as the battery is hot.

Thanks for the info guys. I guess I'll have to be careful about leaving the ipod plugged in.

Don't worry about it; it would take weeks for the I-pod's electrical load to drain the H3's battery. If the I-pod's rechargeable, it'll shut down automaticallly anyway to protects its internal battery.

Correct just for the iPod but alarm and some other things could do it a lot faster. I unfortunately found this out after just a week of being out of town. It wasn't completely dead but not enough juice to turn the engine over.

Do you mean the H3's stock electrical load drained the battery in a week? Or are you talking about aftermarket add-ons? If its the former, that would be a serious engineering mistake by Hummer.
