Did you install them yourself? If so, how hard was it?

Yes I installed them myself. They are fairly easy to do and come with really good instructions...of course I am also a GM/Hummer Technician.
All the wiring is included and there are wires going through the firewall already. Hardest part is removing the front bumper and that is pretty easy.

Is there a sperate switch for the lights? How do you turn them on and off or are they hooked to your head lights?

Are these driving lamps? Do they come automatically with the high beam, or do you wire a switch into the dash?

these are off road lights...same lights as used in roof mounted assy..There are holes in the center dash at bottom for the roof mounted and grille mounted light switches...these are completely controled by the switch..High/low beam doesn't metter...

"PWI is an Incentra Solutions company. A leading provider of Complete IT Solutions"
I don't work in IT, so I'm confused:confused:

That's nice that the H3 already has wires going through the firewall. When doing the wiring, so you have to do any cutting, crimping or splicing of wires, or does the package just a plug 'n play affair?
Thanks,
Michael

There are three wires that you have to splice. three under dash, three on other end in engine compartment...comes with the good gm heat shrink splices.

Do the grill lights come with a kit; for the bezel around the lights or does the grill have to be replaced. I would appreciate any help with this before I place my order.

So have you tried them out yet? I'm curious about the output. Night pics would be great, of course. ;)

I have not had a chance to try them out off road yet but did use them on the highway in the middle of the night and they work great...they are twice as bright as head lights and they are a nice white light..not yellowish like headlights....

Can these be tapped/used for non GM lights? If so could you explain how to access and splice in?

The switches and wiring all come in a kit from GM. I know you can get switches seperate but not wiring. If you bought switches you could wire something up yourself, if you are doing after market lights you could still use the prerun wires going through the firewall. These wires go through the firwall at the harness and are taped back onto harness. For a nice clean easy install I recommend the factory grille lights.

Like the look of them. I just won a lower grill w/lights, in chrome, on eBay. Total cost $149.95. :excited:

I need to hook up a pair of Whelen strob lights in the front. Tapping into the power wire I can do, I hope, and put in another switch. Where is the spot to run the three wire cable, thru the firewall, to my control panel in the rear? Can you help with info?
PM me if you can. Thanks.
