Based on actual mileage, it must not be much fun to drive...

On the contrary, it's a blast to drive, a pure driver's car. The Elise (and Exige) is the closest thing to a race car in a production vehicle on the road today at just about any price. Nothing handles like it.

The downside is it's a pain in the ass to get in and out of, the a/c sucks and not much for creature comforts like cruise control and cup holders... I wouldn't want one for a daily driver but for a track car or weekend blast down a mountain twisty road you can't beat it for the money....

It is a pain to get in and out of. But 0-60 in 4.6 seconds is worth it :-) Car weighs 1900lbs (frame is 185lbs)

Because they're little metrosexual gokarts and they bring the suck. Friggin' mildly modded Hondas will eat it for lunch. And the "fabled" handling is meh at best.
Underpowered gokart = 2 out of 5 Mehs

Have fun finding sucker #3

LOL, you must be joking. I take it you've never driven one....:D

An older model Exige with less hp than the US Elise was almost 5 seconds faster on Top Gear's test track than a Honda NSX-R......
