I am putting 22 inch rims on my truck and I am deciding on which tire size to go with. Either 325/50/22 or 325/55/22 which one would you suggest and why?

I would go with the larger sidewall. When you have 3.5 tons on them, you need some cushion for objects you may hit with your tires. This gives a little more protection against cutting a sidewall or ruining a wheel.
I think.

I should be getting mine put on tomorrow. Opted for the 325/50_22 because I had very little room to spare to still fit in the garage. The 50 still fits.

I have been told that a 325/55/22 will throw off you spedomoter, Abs, and that the tires will rub when you turn the wheel all of the way. The local customization shop recomended the 325/50/22. So I am really at odds???

Oasis, I'll post up some pics tomorrow of the Nitto Terra Grapplers in the 50 with 22" black Backseats...
I'd use neither. But since you want advice, you should go with the tallest tire you can. You need more sidewall for such a heavy vehicle, otherwise you'll be hating life.

It really depends on if you want to fit in a standard size garrage or not. I know a few of us are in the same predicament. I voted for the 325 50's as i think they're a better looking tire.

Nice bike.
You're killing me bro!!!:D I cant wait to see it. Im gonna buy this setup, as soon as possible. Did you have any issues getting into the garrage? Im hitting the Pepsi 400 tomorrow in the Hummer. I wish i could rock out there with a set of wheels, but oh well. I must wait! I just got back from a nice spirited ride to Daytona on my rigid chopper. What a blast. When you post the pictures, if you dont mind email them to me at matt.lester@aisg.com.
Thanks....Have a great holiday!!

Got them on... but got home from work late. Will post pics tomorrow. These wheels and tires changed the whole look of the vehicle. Totally bad ass. It still fits in the garage nicely. Thought about riding the bike up to Daytona to check out the scene, but been too busy with work.

Pro's: The 55's would be a cushier ride, less pron to tire damage, "fatter-tire" look and less heat from the hard-core trail guys.
Cons: Well, a bit rougher ride, more pron to tire damage but not much, more of a slick, low-pro look then the 4x4 look.... still heat from the trail guys but not as much!! :)
Also, the 55's are an inch taller. I dont a rack on mine, and enclosed parking lots are a bit hair-raising at first... i can fit under a 7-2" so far, but that is about it. with the 55's, well, that is an inch closer, for me, to scrap so i dont know.
I guess if i was gonna do it, go for broke and really pas the margin with a 4-6" lift..
