View Full Version : Texas Hummer owners suck.....

...... sans a few I personally met.:D
I drove about 1500 miles in and around Texas over the past week and must have seen hundreds of Hummers. I literally flashed my lights or waved at an excess of 100 H1s, H2s and H3s. Except for the one lone lady who mistakenly and accidently did her windshield wipers instead of flash her headlights, I saw absolutely no response. Not one other response. She obviously was so shocked to see some other Hummer owner recognize her and flash their headlights that she freaked and had the wipers going (it was a bright sushiny day) in response. She was somewhere just East of Waco.
Bunch of unfriendly folk.;)

I think they just knew who you were!:D;)
I still find myself waving to Hummer owners!(Never get a wave back though!)
I'm sure they're wondering why a Jeeper is waving!
Maybe they were just afraid of the missles strapped to your rack.
Maybe they were just afraid of the missles strapped to your rack.:eek:I saw those and I would have been looking the other way if they'd have waved at me.;)
Just like the idiot today I pulled up next to. As I pulled up, he turned his head away and never looked over during the entire red light.

The Cali Hummer owners are somewhat dazed and confused. They don't know what to do when I wave at them. Some wave, some have a look of I can't beleive I am no the only one with a Hummer. Stupid Pions :p

Some have larger than normal bellies too. I think it's to shade their offspring from all the sun they get. :D

I wave, all the time. Most of the time people look at me like I'm crazy. Maybe I am. I just keep waving. You should have come to Houston, I'll wave at you anytime. People here do often give the one finger salute if that counts.

its the same way in Pittsburgh...not many hummer owners wave back here either.....when i had my vette, vette owners always waved back at you. A few will waive....so i'll keep waving.

You are Buddy.;)
I always wave or hit the lights when I see H2's... most of the time, I get a favorable response, too! ;) The H3's are in their own world here, or so I have found -- rarely do they respond. Maybe they are just in shock that I am waving at them!
My husband asked one of the first times he was with me when I signaled another H2... he asked if that was some sort of a "creed" amongst Hummer owners!

That could have been Cindy Sheehan in her rental, headed for Crawford...
Most Texicans (not Texans) are exceeding their capabilities just getting behind the wheel. Not to mention 80 MPH +, country music justa blar'in...and now YOU want them to wave. You are better off with them keeping both hands on the wheel.....  ;)

In and around Houston, there is no "brotherhood" mentality with owning a Hummer like there is elsewhere, or like there is with driving a Vette, or riding a motorcycle. I think it's due to most Hummer owners around here owning one for the status and attention as opposed to owning one for its intended purpose.

I get a few wave backs, usually when the truck is real dirty, otherwise I get ignored. H3 owners are getting better around here.

I've promised Tracey that I would come and do Barnwell with him soon. That will be great! Barnwell is a blast, and we usually get a great turnout when we give enough notice! I think that Tracey suggested next spring, that is a great time with less dust and the East Texas bugs are smaller that time of year. You can wheel with your windows down! :D

I waved at a burgandy H2 last night and a black H2 this morning but received no response from either one, so this afternoon I flashed a red H3. I got no response from her either, but the guy driving the Ford truck threw me beads!:D

FL Hummer owners are in a world of their own. I passed a blacked out H2 4 times in a parking lot yesterday, the guy had his windows down and didn't even look at me. :( Not acknowledging a fellow blacker-outter is just plain bad manners. The rest of the Hummer owners just never seem to notice, except one...who I think waved, but I think their windshield was tinted too, so hard to say.

I pass H2s all the time, and none flash or wave; same with local H3s. I guess in MI they are afraid you might shoot if you wave, and flashing lights used to be a gang recognition signal around here (before I moved to TN and moved back to this sh*****ty state).

After I first got my H2.....I was waving and looking for responses from fellow H2's but nothing but the blank stare. I thought it would be more friendly like the Corvette wave.
