Are these easy to install yourself on the H3, or should you just go have some one do it for you?

I had no bolts on the rear of my tow hooks (as some do) so the job took 30 minutes. Mine did not have pads, or spacers as the OEM one did. For those of you who have the guard, should I have gotten those??? Anyone???
