I want to install h-cam with video mirror.Does it work with rear spare?
I am worried that it will hide the view?
And i hope i will have a good price from trail duty!!!:D

Just a thought... I originally had the cam installed just above my rear window. Great right to left view but, as Phil pointed out, with the spare you can not see directly behind you (or under you if ya have a lift as I do). So, I moved the cam and installed it on top of my hitch mount. The bottom of the spare is in view, but it shows me exactly what is behind me. No fear of backing up over any little ones in our neighborhood, plus it works great when ya gotta parallel park! Not the greatest location IF you use your hitch mount on a regular basis due to the possibility of hitting it.

I installed front & rear cameras that are integrated to the factory NAV unit. The rear camera is mounted in the bumper above the trailer hitch receiver and below the bottom of the rear mounted spare. It angles up slightly due to the curvature of the rear bumper and its perfect - I can see to align my trailer ball to attach the trailer; I can see everything behind me; I can even see what's comming up along side of me on both sides. The front camera is currently mounted in the front bumper but I have to re-mount same a little higher (just above the top of the lower mini grill & angled down slightly). Hopefully this will be done this weekend. Reason for front re-mount is so I can see to align the front trailer ball with the trailer. The cost for all parts and labor was approx. $950. The only negative point about the cameras is that it's difficult to determine specifically how close I am to an object. Accordingly, I'm adding front & rear sensors with audio & digital displays this weekend. Hope this helps! :D
