I had my front windows tinted today to match the rears. The installer melted the drivers side front window (corner cap?)cap thats on the outside toward the rear of the window. This probably wouldn't bother many people but it's driving me nuts! Is their a part number or name of it that I can go to my local dealer and ask for? I'm only asking becuase when I went to order mirror caps the parts department couldn't find it and told me I had to order a whole mirror to change from chrome to black.

I don't know. But if you go to the dealership make sure you can see the screen. Don't take your truck so you can say, "Let me look so I can tell." Works very well.

I can't find any reference for that specifically. The plastic piece that runs horizontally along the window opening between the 2 corners is called the Front Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip.

Maybe that will get you started.

I brought every car I owned that I had tinted to this shop....it's in the hood and the guy would all ways have high end cars in there. I haven't been their in two years and it seems to have changed ownership. The old owner gave you a lifetime garentee that it would not peel or bubble. Plus he was the only installer. I'm not to impressed with this job. I'm going to look for a new place in the future.
