This message has come on intermitentally for the past week. Wife thinks vehicle is lower in driveway and I think so too, but it seems to resolve upon startup. Seems to be a stuck sensor or some-such. What can I expect? First ever problem on my 03 after 77,000 miles.

there have been sensor issues. I had tha on my 03 and blew out both airbags. Also, check to see that your air hose is not attached, that will drop the rear bags down also.

Vador99- what did you pay for the new compressor? Service says bladders are leaking--600bucks, but code says compressor history of going off too many times. Logically because bladders were leaking, but could indicate compressor problem. They want 2800 for the new double compressor. Seems like a lot. Thanks.

Does any one know of any parts interchangeability for the air compressor? Who manufactures the factory compressor? If I do need a new compressor I am not paying 2800 bucks if I can avoid it. Seems GM would have used a compressor already in use. Jeez, a brand new Land Rover compressor is "only" 1000 bucks. HELP! Thanks.

I had same problem SERVICE AIR SUSP.with my 03 66000 mile
Mine did not shut down and killed the battery even with key out
I removed fuse and reinstalled 2 hours later to see if problem was still there.
No more problems 2 months now
Still have my fingers crossed:)

I've had this problem intermittently last week as well, and it seemed to have gone away. The manual says if you shut the car off and turn it back on, and you get the message again, then to take it in, otherwise I guess it's a false alarm.

I do need to get my front end checked out, whenever I'm doing 60+ and apply brakes my steering wheel shakes a bit, didn't use to do that

Another option for you...if you don't want to spend the money on new bladders and compressor:

You can get the rear coil springs and remove the air susp. alltogether. IT would be cheaper and less hassle should you have more issues down the road.

FWIW-

Timgco-- That is exactly what I was thinking. Fortunately it was just the bladders and compressor is working properly. If it goes out in the future I will do a conversion.:)
