If you got GM locking cap (they sell it for $39.99), you may as well don't bother to lock it. You can open it without a key faster than original non-locking cap. All you have to do is squeeze cap and turn left. I got one and after swap I wanted to test it (f.. kids proof it). I was very surprised when it opened. Local dealer took it back. I had to show them, as they didn?t believe me. LOL!!! So now I?m back to beginning looking for solution to lock fuel door.
BTW. Does anyone know any aftermarket locking fuel door that is using screws instead of 3M tape?

I got the Predator fuel door off of Ebay and am happy with it. Install isn't as easy as some of the others but it is on there and you don't have to drill through your fender. You do have to trim the fuel ring but no big deal.

I don't know of any, but salesman mentioned something I thought I'd pass along. I got the chrome fuel door (no lock). It might be better for some to get a locking gas cap and a fuel door instead of locking door, because of mud and salt (winter driving), snow, etc getting into the lock. THe locking gas cap would be more protected with the fuel door.

I got the same one. Install is a little bit of a pain but it's on there! I'm VERY happy with it.

I am happy too. After doing the install I had several conversations with one of the support guys at Predator about issues with their instructions. He said they were taking my input and doing so installs to see how to improve on the procedures. Who knows if anything changed though.
On thing I noticed that I was surprised about was it said to wax it every month or so. Thought that was strange but put a coat on last month while waxing the rest of the truck and it definitely brought the finish back to life.

So is it mounted with 3M tape?

No tape is involved with this fuel door. Just bolts. Believe me, once you get it installed it is NOT coming off unless you smash it off the fender with a sledgehammer.

I got a locking gas cover off of eBay as well. It is installed with 3M tape, however, being creative as I am I adapted it. I drilled thru the indentations and into the plastic outer ring. I then went to Lowe's and purchased some one way screws. Looks better and not coming off.

Liked the locking H2 cap but needed routing and grinding to fit. The H3 insert can be pulled off. Using resin glue it can be bonded and will never come off and still look outstanding...
