I have 05 Hummer, I used the xtreme flow exhaust and edlebrook headers no problem. When I installed the high flow air filter the check engine light came on. I used the powerflash programmer and the problem went away.

I had the extreme flow exhaust and intake put in my 04. After one year of lackluster performance flat spots, etc I took it into the dealership. They took thermal readings at the intake of the muffler and found that it was 500 degrees on one pipe and 250 on the other. It appeared that the muffler was not flowing well at all. They were nice enough to put the factory exhaust back on and I have never been happier. I dont even miss the louder exhaust as it proved embarrassing with guests in the car when the truck was all bark and no bite. I have since resigned myself to the best performance dollar seems to be the supercharger. Good luck.

I agree with drmiles. I have the xtreme flow exhaust and love it. It sounds great, not embarrassingly loud at all. Just a meaty sound. I get compliments all the time on the sound. As for performance, unless you add headers or a SC it will be a "xtremely" slight or barely noticeable difference. Try a programmer, which may help!

I'm having the same problem with my K&N cold air intake. After installing it, seems like my H2 lags at low speed. I looked at a dyno read of the K&N on the H2 and it seems like it only gains power at high RPM. I was looking for it to improve on the low end. I've tried disconnecting the battery several times but nothing has changed. I do see a slight increase in gas mileage though.

Hey guys, I asked my techs. and they told me that the oiled air filters such as K&N will cause issues like this.

MY DISCLAIMER: I have not done this mod yet, so i cannot say for sure that is the problem.

I've heard that as well, however the filter was only installed 2 days before the check engine light came on. May go back to stock and see if that fixes the problem.

OK, today I changed out the K&N FIPK and installed the Airaid Replacement Filter and MIT. I didn't drive the truck yet to see if it made a change but I will post the results after I drive it.

As far as the check engine light goes, I have never had that problem from the K&N. Hope that I don't have it with the Airaid either.

My air intake has a K and N filter on it for about a year or so now and no problems. My filter after reading what Klaus had put up was checked by Me, the company making it, and the Dealer. Filter not over oiled and a little pink as per K and N instructions. So I'm thinking the key is not over oiling. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I took off the extreme flow muffler and had the stock muffler put back on, I could feel the power now no more lagging on freeway and streets do you think if i was to put the intake system alone would it be harmed?
