...The heavy-duty extended-cab pickups are fitted with an Enhanced Mobility Package, which GM has just released for government and military sales.
And there's good news for those who go off-road in the desert or Baja California. "We anticipate offering this package to retail and commercial customers in the near future," a GM spokesman says. ...
Para, how about the Extreme version? Lot's of battery power.

There's also Severe Mobility Package, but I really couldn't find anything on that.

With regards to the second attachment, the GM 2 Piece Aluminum wheels look interesting. Has anyone ever seen those?

Where would they put or run a light tactical vehicle?
It seems the Duramax/Allison combo is plentiful enough for the govt. contracts.

I was wondering the same thing. I need to visit the dealership within a couple days and I might ask them, out of curiosity, if they can pull a part number and get a price. They don't look that bad, and I like that they are beadlock.

part number for the hydraulic bump stop system for the front is ANB64938
If we can find a way to get it.
The wheels are 16" and won't work on the H2
here is the UCP

What would we need with beadlocks, real underbody protection, hydraulic bump stops, and a diesel? Far better to offer what GM knows most of us want, more chrome and bling ;)Good point, Phil. They really should decide what's best for wheeling these mall rigs.

Aww, crap. That sucks about the wheels. Is the bolt pattern different? (I'm just thinking if it is just the size, that shouldn't be a huge problem.)
I am sorry to ask questions, but how does a hydraulic bump stop work? Ours are just little rubber cone-like things, aren't they?

It'd be real nice if they were available in a 6x5.5 bolt pattern! Then it'd fit the H3

It's not a huge problem, just need to change your brakes and maybe front knuckles ;)
If you want beadlocks, take a look at the Center Line ones or get some Staun internals.
I understand, now. Sorry about being thick-headed. I am still learning! I was looking at the Staun internal beadlocks a few weeks ago and think that is the best way to go. I was just looking at these GM ones when they were posted because I prefer going the factory route, if possible.
Desert racers use them a lot to absorb shock loads on the suspension, very effective and would most probably be useful on the H2, as I think it is a little undersprung and prone to bouncing.
That makes sense. I think I saw those in the thread with the desert racing H3, in the picture with the engine exposed.
Thanks again for the help.

They are only available to the military and corporate fleet purchasers. Not available to the public. They
are cool though.

I traded in my 2004 Excursion for my H2. I love the H2, but would love to pick up an Excursion again. I miss the turbo diesel!
