What's up with the name? Why not cytokines? Or WBC? That is just odd. :)

MS,

An "interleukin" is a cytokine. Could be a chemokine too, as in the case for IL-8.

Guess you know a little immunology. :D

Guess you know a little immunology. :D I try. Know most from school then my dad a glioblastoma and I did alot of reseach on treatments and clinical trials. Then my husband, Paragon, got bit by a snake a few years ago and had encephilitis so I have spent a few hours of my life looking things up and more hours studing for national boards and the such.

But the way, I think LSU fans are the worst fans in the world. :D Hotty Totty!!!!!!! Go Ole Miss !

National boards...what do you do?

I'm an assistant professor at Pitt med school. Ph.D. in Microbiology/Immunology, hence the "interleukin" screename.

I think LSU fans are the f--king bomb, but Ole Miss folks throw a good party too. I'm just a homesick southerner living in north training to make it through the damn winter and LSU (and the Saints - I know, bring on the jokes) football has kept me sane.\

However, now that I have the H3, the winters should be a lot more interesting. :D :D

I'm a wife and mother but I was a dental hygienist. I a grad from University of Miss Med Center. I loved Microbiology, I had a really freaky professor that told me at least once a week I would die from eating sushi. I really enjoyed histology and my very favorite was bio chem. Man, I loved that class! Actually I loved it all. Pathology, pharmacology some days I really do miss studing. My parents would laugh if they knew I just said that.:D
