Just curious as to what people prefer to use (brand name of cleaner, type of brush/cloth, homemade remedy recipe etc.) when it comes to cleaning their rims.

I have made the mistake before of not being too vigilant when it came to cleaning my alloy rims and over time, the brake dust and grime seemed to basically eat away at the rim.

I am starting to notice a build-up on my H3 rims (standard ones) and I want to take the best measure to keep them in decent condition (recognizing that trail damage is going to occur).

If you wash it regularly the build up is not so bad.
I use a hand mit(sheepskin fur type) it gets in there good and I use mothers car wash or similar type car wash soap no need for harsh chemicals.A small scrub brush(tooth brush) for a complete detail every couple of months
Just a hand scrub brush on the tires also.:D

I put a coat of turtlewax ice on mine and haven't had any brake buildup since.
