The first is just a shadow projecting from the contrails. The next two are of the same phenomena, not sure which Ice Halo we're looking at though... http://www.atoptics.co.uk/halosim.htm

Being farther up North, we get AWESOME Nothern Lights (aurora borealis). I remember once when I was younger, me and a few buddies dropped mushrooms and stared into the sky for like HOURS! Good Times:D

man, bob, those are killer shots of the northern lights. are they really northern, so you southernish cali/texas/south folks don't get to see them?
