saw the earlier thread on some sort of carrier that attached to the lugs on the spare and could store a couple gas cans and maybe a tool kit. Just wondering if anyones found anything like that

It was determined that the tire carrier bracketry won't support more than a single fuel can.

I'm trying to look at other versions of can holders to see if I can put a Wedco/NATO based can on it.

1 problem I see is u need to carry tools to get take it apart to use your spare.
would be a real pain if u left them at home.

If you're on the trail - you better have tools anyways.

Since I have the unit centered where it's it's supposed to be, I might just drill a small hitch pin hole through it.

You first. Then make sure you run headfirst into a pole with it too. :) Let me know how the truck fares.

I am interested in that as well. It would be great to have a "real" bumper back there with a swingarm that can hold cans, jack, and tire. My pal's Jeep has a custom bumper that does it all. It stinks with the H3 though. We will have to have something like that fabricated since no on really wants it. It you have any luck with it, let us know.
