Went wheeling with some Jeep buds this past weekend and the Mrs and I had a blast. Found a place that absolutely requires a front locker for a H2 to do very well. We didn't get many pics, shot a little video, got some cool video of the Jeeps doing some nasty stuff.

BUT, also got some pics of the cumilative damage I have sustained, which most happened this past weekend.

First, here is a couple of pics borrowed from skillet over at the central alabama offroad society, who rode with in a rhino all weekend.

Now a few pics on some of the carnage. I have been wanting to do extended rock rails and upgrade the UCP and should have done that before this trip, but, oops.

The rock rails have been great up until this point. I beat the hell out of the PS trying to pivot around a rock with it.

PARAGON
08-28-2006, 07:24 PM
had a little "accident" on the RR quarter panel and ended up pulling off the little plastic corner piece and running over it a couple of times. Gray Rock now owns it.

PARAGON
08-28-2006, 07:34 PM
Another reason I needed those extended rock rails. Got one in to both doors on the passenger side.

PARAGON
08-28-2006, 07:35 PM
still another reason for the extended rock rails. Need then up to the fender wells also.

PARAGON
08-28-2006, 07:38 PM
There was a tree that apparently many other rigs had rubbed. I just about had it cleared but if my tire would have slipped an inch earlier this pic would include a broken window.

PARAGON
08-28-2006, 07:41 PM
Warn front bumper cover did it's job. It bent up without effecting the winch or the frame system underneath. One could simply replace the metal bumper once it's beat all to heck. This winter, mine will probably come off for a little hammer work

PARAGON
08-28-2006, 07:43 PM
just about shoved the stock UCP up to the floorboards. Lost a bolt out of the rear and also lost a bolt out of the front of the skid plate.

PARAGON
08-28-2006, 07:44 PM
another reason I need some new beefier UCP is that I am beating the cross-members to hell and back

Pargon, Nice showing! My underside looks similar after the second time at Tellico. My body mounts are bent way over, and so are the rock rail mounts. I'll get pics when my camera gets fixed.

How did it compare to Tellico as far as diffuculty? I'm in if you go back out there!

:perfect10s:Much more difficult... because the rocks are coated with loose rocks and dirt. There's just no grip and it requires so much wheel spin. Also, several points are simply setup for short wheel bases and I was getting high-centered too much.

It really is amazing that these trucks can be wheeled hard over and over again, and still come out with only cosmetic damage.

How many miles are on your beast? And how many serious wheeling trips has it endured?

Do you think you'll make it back to gray rock?

Do you think you'll make it back to gray rock? It's only got about 35K miles. Just turned 4 years old. Been to Moab, Red Creek, Tellico, K-Rocks, Grayrock and a bunch of local wheeling. Just no rocks around here, though.

On the agenda is Superlift and yes we'll be going back to Grayrock, but probably not until the front is locked. All of the obstacles are climbs and with all of the crushed rock and dirt, there's no traction. The weight is a big negative in this situation since it can't grab.

That is pretty low miles, but many of those miles were SLOW!! I've already got 25K on my 06!

Exactly and I wouldn't want to take it on a road trip. No stock vehicle besides other hummers and maybe a rubicon can hang with a 100%stock H2.
