Getting prepared? Dei, I am assuming that you got your generator from the hippie thread. I guess as soon as we can fly in there (restricted air space over Cuba ) we will know more huh?

Yep... now that I moved out to the coast, my plan of walking over to Disney if it gets bad and I lose power/water isn't going to work so well. I miss living a quarter mile away from Disney World. :crying:

Plus, I just looked around the other day and noticed all the 40ft trees waiting to fall on the power lines in this subdivision that hasn't even been in a storm yet. And it seems I have more glass than brick on the exterior walls of my house, I wish someone would send me some Hurricane Tape for testing. :giggling:

No problem, we're just going to have a little wind and rain and we need the rain bad...

And the roads at the hunting camp should be nice and muddy this weekend......:excited: :excited:

We all need the rain. We hope it runs right up here... Just after I get the giant dead tree removed. It can reach the house....

I hope I have time.....

Thanks CP, shouldn't be bad here really. Did change the oil in the generator last night and fired it up for the first time in a couple of years. I think AndyC and Jason are going to get far worse than us but not too bad. Now go kick that cold.

So you have the small trees up there ;)

Luckily I only have a couple of more 80 footers that I need to worry about. Lost about 6 others 2 years ago. What a freaking mess

We are not that worried to be honest - I pride myself on my extremely high level of being completely unprepared. Plenty of booze and ammo on hand - and yes I did fire up my generator this morning and amazingly it started.

:beerchug: Heres to a few days of good BBQ plenty of drinking, talking to my neighbours (we only ever see each other during hurricanes) and not having to do any work - except pulling trees out of my pool.

I am currently not watching any television, I made the mistake of looking at channel 4 news last night - the graphics they use are amazing - the only thing missing were the four horsemen of the apocalypse - they were making it look like a 200 mile wide 40,000 mph tornado raining death and destruction upon us, they even had this green smog like radioactive cloud looking thing in its wake.
