its really not white.

And, along with the Element, that little boxy Scion piece of misery, the FJ, the Jeep Commander, and the rise in hollywood of the G-class mercedes, it shall be simply classified as "inspired directly and blatantly by hummer"

aesthetics, my man. there is no question at all that's what they're chasing, and that that's how the FJ came into development, etc.

like it or hate it, make observations about my capacity to cure that not so fresh feeling, whatever... its the way it is.

You have no idea what your talknig about:shhh:

The JEEP J/K......is NOTHING at ALL compared to the H3 or H2......From the minor details, down to the suspension, down to the CONVERTIBLE option it throws at you. It is still VERY MUCH meant to reach the loyal SFA Wrangler Customers...:beerchug: ......Solid Front Axle, Electronic Disconnecting Sway Bars, 4:1 Rock Transfer Case, Front and Rear Electric Lockers, Convertible Top/Removable Top, Coil Springs, Upper & Lower Control Arms, .................

New J/K........wanna be Hummer.........:violin:

wannabe hummer... who cares, not the point.

its existence is inspired by hummer, yes. alternately, the entire jeep world was clamoring for a vehicle with all the comfort and refinement of the Rubi, but in a more family-friendly package. ?

naw, inspired by the initial massive success of the H2 and the big splash of the H3.

I still don't get that huge front bumper. U-G-L-Y.

the hummer lineup, especially when they went more mainstream, sort of brought rugged offroady kind of styling and image and marketing and design into vogue.

and the fallout seems to also include other boxy styled vehicles.

The 4 door Jeep was inspired by JEEP CUSTOMERS that have been wanting a 4 DOOR JEEP FOREVER...........:twak:

Why do you think there is such an aftermarket for a couple companies in actually taking our TJ's and converting them into 4 door vehicles. I suppose those AEV was inspired to design those Jeeps from the Hummer H2 and H3...........

come now.

what % of vehicles ont he market are styled boxy and marketed as offroad-capable before and after the H2.

i don't know, but i bet it'd be fun to look at.

I don't know what AEV means. And i guess there's widespread demand for hummer limo's per your logic...

I'm talking about the ****ING JEEP J/K:twak:

God damn........when was Jeep NOT BOXY and RUGGED and marketed as Offroad Capable?

I dont care about other ****ing vehicles I.E TOYOTA or NISSAN because IMHO I like to see all sorts of vehicles out on the trail. This thread was about a JEEP I LIKE that HAS NO COMPARISONS AT ALL to YOUR BELOVED H2 or H3's and that is for sure........It looks like a god damn 4 door JEEP:rant: ...and yes......as cars get redesigned they tend to become more refined on the inside. If you look at the inside of these they are STILL VERY MUCH DESIGNED after the WRANGLER TJ on the inside........

when was the jeep big?

i'm sure its not designed to be like a hummer, i didn't say hummer wannabe, i said inspired by

it wasn't an insult. i do love my H2, but i also have a Rubi if it makes you happier about it all.

So, if I could find a job, I could get me a white rubi 4 door. lift it and maybe throw as much as 37" on there, prolly 35". Set it up to be a toad behind the H2 and drag it wheeling and when the H2 breaks something take it on some easier stuff until the newness wears off and it's ready to start getting real rub rash. About then, a new H2 would be calling and I could build up the rubi and then switch up and chop up the current 2 into a buggy on D60s or rockwells with rear steer, open top, tube doors, lift, cut fenders, 44"s......

Oh I'm not getting one. The "woman" wants a Maxima or G35 and My Heep is payed off. Soooooo, she will get her ride, and I'll build my TJ for the trails. Now I'm just trying to decide what exactly I want to do with the TJ........

But I tried to talk her into one.......she said "you already have a jeep".....and I wanted to :twak: ........Oh well...........
