In my opinion, Air is good for those who tow or wheel often. Its not a neccesity, but it is definatley nice to have some extra inches in the rear, and self leveling when towing. I have used it to blow up air mattresses, air up my other cars tires, bike tires, other trucks on the trail, etc. I actually use it more than I though I would. But, I also have a portable battery jumper box/air compressor that will air up things just as easily. I got it at sams club for about $100.00. This would be a good alternative to carry out on the trail, etc.

Congrats on getting a Hummer.

I recently had to replace the air suspension bags (found out my daughters boyfriend crunched them wheeling and did not know it). Cost me close to 800 bucks. If the compressor goes thats another 2500 bucks. Unless you are really a heavy wheeler I would not do it. I dont need it for the hunting trails I am on offroad.

The extra height is nice on the trail and the air is good for towing, but if you don't do any of that, ask for a few bucks back and keep the truck.

Congrats.
