Since I will be on the Rubicon, this will be difficult to do. After the Rubi I am heading back east.:(

You could detour back to moab on your way out, then you could still help Neo & Nav unpack:p

I am. I decided to stay another week. Not often that I will be in that area with no time schedule. After Moab, I have to go to Santa Fe for one night then I head to the Grand Canyon and eventually to the Rubicon. Probably take the northern route back to New York.

I-80, or thru Montana and the Dakotas?

Congrats Pops. Currently there's only 3 Hummers that have run Paragon and Moab, Rocks, us and Peter.
You'll take the lead by adding the Rubi.:jump:

In reviewing the route, it will be 80. I don't think I want to go further north. Rox, how long were you on the road?

Ken, let me get home, then I can say I did all three, 2 within a month. I am planning a weekend at Paragon, probably the 2nd weekend of Nov. The Larson's are probably going to join me along with anyone else.

We arrived in Albuquerque this afternoon. The first destination. Tomorrow we leave for Santa Fe and Monday morning, Moab. Mona and I are having a great time.

So far, I only sucked one person in on the Prius Hybrid emblems. Should have seen the look on his face when I told him I am getting 30mpg:jump:

Chester, in Orange County. As of today, Paragon is my favorite place to play. When I get to Moab next Tuesday, I might have a change of mind. I'll let you know.

Are you going to Farmington as well? Some of those trails are very difficult. Although there are a few difficult Moab obstacles that are longer, like Hell's Gate and Escalator, I actually preferred Farmington because the obsticals were one after and another after another. Not much driving inbetween. But the views at Moab can't be beat.

What I do that week depends on if I get someone to go with me. I don't like going out into unknown areas without at least on other truck. Not for nothing else, but safety first.

BTW, stay at the Gonzo and tell the folks there we said "Hi".:D

You're telling me!! Never go to Moab without good friends with all the right parts, tools, knowledge to fix your broken Hummer, and alcohol for medicinal purposes after the trails!!

Gonzo is going condo!

We just spent the day driving along the Colorado River. It was spectacular. Took about 400 pictures. It's great to have a digital camera.

Just did Fins & Things. All I can say is "It wasn't the Right Coast". It was hard driving the trail and looking at the scenery at the same time. So different, I feel like a noob all over.

Two H1's did Lion's Back without me. Don't know what held me back more, my fear of heights or my wife.

Off roading is great, but what can beat riding the roads through places like these.

Great pics! :perfect10s: What beautiful country! I'm glad youZ got to go see it!

From the Reno/Tahoe area, you can expect to spend about 5 or 6 days getting back to New York. And since I know you don't travel for long hours each day, you might add another day or 2. I took 5 days to get from Virgina Beach to Portland driving pretty hard to get home(with one breakdown)

When I see you at the Rubi, I can give you good stopping points to hit along the way. I think the kids and I averaged over 500 miles a day.

Have a great time with the HClub. See you soon!:D
