Look who won yesterday's primary:

This article is from the 11th, but has some background on him:
Nation of Islam Candidate (http://www.minnesotademocratsexposed.com/2006/09/11/washington-post-muslim-candidate-plays-defense/)

If he wins, he will be the first Muslim elected to Congress.Ellison, 43, is a two-term state legislator. He prays toward Mecca five times a day and says he has not eaten pork or had a drink of alcohol since he converted to Islam as a 19-year-old student at Wayne State University in Detroit. When speaking at mosques or to members of Minneapolis's large Somali immigrant population, he opens with "Salaam aleikum," Arabic for "Peace be with you."concern Ellison's past associations with the Nation of Islam and its leader, Louis Farrakhan.Articles he wrote:The first article defended Farrakhan against accusations of anti-Semitism. The second called affirmative action a 'sneaky' form of compensation for slavery, suggesting instead that white Americans pay reparations to blacks.Who is he?the candidate had used the names Keith X Ellison and Keith Ellison-Muhammed during his student days. In more than 20 Web postings titled 'Who Is Keith Ellison?' PowerLine asserted that he had been a 'local leader' of the Nation of Islam and accused him of 'involvement' in anti-Semitism."

Saturday, August 26, 2006 1:19 PM

It appears moral relativism has been well established in Minneapolis,Minnesota. The Democratic party selection for Congress in the fifth district is a leader of the local chapter of "The Nation OF ISLAM". Mr.Ellison, aka: Mr. keith X Ellison, Keith Ellison Mohammed is a man who publicly proclaims that "Jews are the most racist white people."
As part of his election fund raising plan he has scheduled Rihad Awad, the executive director of "CAIR"to speak at one of his fund raising events.

Mr.Awad is a staunch supporter of Hezbolla and during his appearance on C-Span said that suicide bombers are appropriate in the fight for jihad. He supports their terroist actions.

Are these the kind of people the Democrats of Minnesota want to represent them in Congress?

Time to blow Minnesota up now. He is friends with a supporter of Hezbolla who thinks suicide bombers are right in their fight for Jihad. This guy has all sorts of info out there on him Minnesota folks must be smiking some wicked sh&t if they are turning their govnt over to people with beliefs such as these.

Nice pick up Ken.

These beliefs do not bode well for the future of religious tolerance in the U.S. Large minorities of citizens view Islam and other non-Christian religions very negatively. If similar results were found in a survey about other races, other genders, other sexual orientations, or other nationalities, then one could attribute the response to simple racism, sexism, homophobia or xenophobia. But the above survey is in a different class. Many born-again Christians believe that the normal destination for people after death is Hell ; only those who are born-again will attain heaven. Thus, any religion that does not motivate people to be "saved" would, in their view, have a negative impact on its members, and thus on society as a whole. So, it may be positive concern for followers of other religions that is causing the born-again Christians to have extremely low opinion of those religions.
