DENVER - Colorado ranked first in the nation for foreclosures in August amid concerns that the housing market is softening, according to two new reports from online companies that monitor the industry.
RealtyTrac Inc. said Wednesday that 6,079 homes in Colorado (http://www.examiner.com/Topic-Colorado.html) were in some phase of the foreclosure process last month, up 150 percent from August 2005 and 60 percent from July.
