I HATED that time of year when I lived in Miami. I used to go over to Naples/Sanibel frequently and driving on Alligator Alley I'd drive right through thousands of them. Someone told me to put Vaseline on the grill of my 'vehicle of the time'. It worked. All I had to do was just wipe off the tons of bugs once I got home.

Eyu! :giggling:

Although it can be said that it is atrributed to the lack of aerodynamics: I believe it's because they wanted to bite him (hard!:D). Dei attracts the six leggeds.:OWNED:

Seems you'd save more time if you just washed them off, as opposed to having to apply Vaseline, THEN having to wipe them off...

Nope. After you drive through them, killing them on your grill ..they bake on in the Florida sun. Near impossible to get them off washing the vehicle yourself. The Vaseline made it easy to wipe them off if it was on before the bugs hit. :D

My 1500psi pressure washer was able to get them all off. Took a long time though, but at least I got them before they baked for too long.

Dealers pressure washer didn't do jack in the morning but got most of the mud off :excited:

Remember to never leave love bugs on there too long, they will eat the paint

The dealer washed your truck?! I was on 95 when I figured at least a few muddy Hummers would be heading home on Sunday but everyone I saw was clean. I should've stayed overnight! :twak:

They didn't wash them but did knock the mud off with pressure washer which was nice since mine isn't working anymore.

Right now the "Love Bugs" are here they are a bitch to get off. We call them love bugs because they are two bugs flying aroung having sex. My oldest says "Mom there are those together bugs, they look so funny." But I guess if I could have sex and fly around life would be great. That was just a funny thought, seeing all of these people flying around having sex. :jump: Sorry just had to laugh about that thought. Thank you, GOODNITE! :giggling:
