My boss is a nut and I do not mean that is a good sense. She is a insecure Bully who tries to stare you down and get in your face when feeling threatened. You might ask what this has to do with Hummers. I parked next to her Honda car before work yesterday. During the day we had a spat over the fact she decided to scream at one of my workers and I told her if she had issues with anyone in my offfice to come to me and leave tehm alone. During the discussion she exposed her true feeling after she realized she woudl not be able to get me up set when she scream, "You are just a stupid Army man who can not work for a strong Woman, and your HUMMER is stupid and Ugly"

I had to laugh since it was such a pathetic attempt at a personal attack. I said well it is 430, "I will be going home to my kids and dogs who love me, you will be going home alone cause you are a miserable lonley insecure old lady and please leave my Hummer out of this"

IT is a long running fued, she is pissed that when I came back from Iraq I took my job back from the temp worker she hired. She hates the fact they told her when they hired her that her job would have been mine if I had not deployed, she hates the fact I am in the army, she hates the fact I found out she does not have a college degree and that she "misled" our employer about it, she hates I am a single father who "took the kids away from their mom", she hates she can not get me upset, she general hates men. She was divorced 30 years ago and prides herself that since that day she has never needed a man. Sounds lonely to me.

The union has become involved to help my workers after the director refused to step in. I am discussing a National Guard complaint against her for her many anti-guard rants. I get my eval in Jan and it will not be pretty. I have developed a pretty good case that it is retribution for support my workers union greivence against her.

I would prefer to go back to Iraq for another year rather than work for her if It were not for the fact my kids do not want not go back to their mom's house

This chick (she would love to hear me call her a chick) having ever been married is proof of some man's stupidity in effort to get himself some. The workers call her Ronald McBarney in honor of her bright orange thinning hair and pale pasty skin. She is the poster child of what is going to become the county's harrassment suit.

If I or any of my soldier had treated any insurgents in Iraq the way she treats the workers we would have faced Military Criminal charges. I have dealt some real losers for bosses in the Military, she has now set the bar so high for all the POS's they all will seem like Patton.

I'm glad to hear that you handle yourself so maturely with that nightmare of a woman. It's great that you didn't let her get to you. What a miserable person she sounds to be venting her personal frustrations at you. She's jealous that you have your job, that YOU have your kids, that you made it to Iraq and back, that you have the vehicle of your choice.. and that you can keep your calm during turmoil, at work or abroad. Good for you, Scouts Out. There are too many more important things in life than to worry about her insecurities and frustrations. Sounds like you've got your head on straight. Good for you! :jump:

What a pathetic personal attack. Someone needs to get her into some anger management. And for all the deadbeat dads out there, for her to hate you for being a responsible one chaps my ass. What a beotch!

Just keep it professional like you're doing. Take notes of all her BS and document your work, so she can't say it's not getting done. You know she'll throw you under the bus any chance she gets.

Heh Scout... I can relate. Our Director was here for 18 years and just the oppisite of yours in that she was very young. She came to my company out of High school at 19 years old as a pool secretery and two years later went right to Director..!!!!:eek: .

Think about it...sort of like street sweeper to president of the USA in one leap. Anyway she new nothing..our department managed to run it's self for 18 years with out her input .

She was nothing more then a Figure Head...(HEAD...!!!!!) If you know what I mean. ..and I ain't kiden..!!.

She finally got the AX when the new owners took over. Last I heard...she was tending bar.

'We all use to bang heads with her when it came to running our areas.
We now have a new Female who knows even less promoted from our new sister company. This one just sits in her office and talks on the phone. She never get's involved ..Thanks God..

But you're doing the right thing, put her in her place about the people who work for you. There is no reason to yell at someone who works for you.

I had an "issue" with the Air Force and had to hire a lawyer. He told me one thing I will ALWAYS remember. Never threaten to call a lawyer, just do it! Shock and Awe!

My ex and I sued my first boss for sexual harrassment. When I left for a trip to the sand box (She was working for a subcontractor) her company sent her over on his request ot get some paper work... he offered lunch , dinner, hotel, what ever she wanted. She got $30,000 from him. About 3 years later my friend had almost the same thing happen in a different department. Her boss told her to go with a big boss and show him "what ever he wants" apparently her breast were on the list of what he wanted to see. She went and complained to her boss and was fired for insubordination. She got $40,000 from them. Apparently if I was a chick and he was a guy the attorneys would be falling all over themselves to take the case, since she is harrassing two males, no one wants to deal with it.

The information sector sure has a lot of crappy bosses I agree. I got tired of the horrible bosses, long hours, and being worked to death. Screw that ****, I'm done with IT work.

Like Viet Nam Vette I also got stuck with a director that moved up from a secretary position. The dike hated men, and me in general. She would be yelling and screaming at me just because she could, and I never lost composure, which really pissed her off. She faked like she knew what she was doing and wouldn't let anyone on systems she worked on so no one would know. We got a virus propagated via internal network from the city and it wiped out all the airport servers. She looked pale and left the office and told me to fix it. Found out that she never setup the backup tapes, so I had to rebuild all the servers from scratch, not to mention all the data that was lost. People were in tears for a few days. She soon found a new job and left the next week. As soon as she said she was leaving we went head hunting and found someone to replace her in 4 days. She started her new job and got fired in 2 days. Tried to come back but we already filled her position. Saw her a few months later working at a fabric store:giggling:
Took me 2 months to fix all the crap she screwed up. Sometimes they actually get what they deserve in the end.

Where I work the majority of us have Masters degrees at least, the big boss, in her infinate wisdom hired some one with 12 credit hours from a community college thirty years ago. So she comes in feeling insecure to begin with, she then has no supervisory experience and has to listen to everyone tell her how the job was created for me if I had not been deployed. COmbine that with the fact she hates men (not kidding at all there). The one temp worker told me she would be a crack whore in pittsburgh before she would work for her again. She is just nuts. her coming in my office red in the face leaning over my desk screaming in some type of tongues.... over the fact I corrected her work for her to the big boss.... I can not win. Got too many years in to quit.
