Of all the odd things, I was watching one of my most favorite disturbing movies, "Damage," directed by Louis Malle, tonight on Bravo, and they had it on.
What the hell were they thinking? Okay, basically French art-house flick?! Let's advertise the H2 on it!!!
I thought it was funny.

I'm not able to right click and save these either. How is it that you are doing this?
Thanks,

The "Pro" version of Apple Quicktime allows the right mouse click save.

While that is a good commercial as far as making people want to buy an H2, I really disagree with the whole premise of the commercial. It displays VERY irresponsible off-road travel by cutting through the switchbacks and leads people to 4 probable assumptions.
1)H2's need to cheat to win (not saying thats true, just a possible assumption.
2)Cutting across switchbacks is perfectly okay! (which is obviously false to those of us who wheel responsibly)
3)Further distances a big portion of the 4WD community from the Hummer brand because it shows irresponsible off-road travel
4)Further worsens the image of the 4WD community to the general public, just as MANY commercials have been doing lately.
Personally, I give that commercial a big thumbs down, and I get furious every time I see it or any of the commercials like it. It's not the worst out there, I'll leave that to the lazy asses in the Honda who were too stupid to take the bikes off the roof instead of making their own "shortcut" through a mountain field.

Lighten up. There not real cars. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif How about Lara Croft practically running down ostriches and other animals with the rubi in Tomb Raider 2?

I understand that they're not real cars, but it still gives off the impression that its okay to cut switch backs. I don't like many of the Jeep commercials that show that either. Most Jeep commercials show responsible travel, but many don't.
Out here in Colorado we are getting MANY of our trails closed due to people who wheel irresponsible. So it's kind of a touchy issue for me.

Out east we mostly have to pay for our trails! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif No BLM land here.

It seems like people get too worked up about it will be 'make people think'. It's just a dang funny ad. Anyone who watches that ad and then starts getting upset about off-roaders already has pre-existing opinion about them anyway. Everyone else just looks and laughs.
