Hello everybody,
Alright, I'm having this problem and don't know how to fix it. I think it has something to do with the anti theft deterrement....
here it goes.
Whever I turn off the engine, lock the truck with the remote. Then when I want to leave I try to turn on the truck however it doesn't start - it sounds like it's gonna start but it doesn't......I then turn off the truck, lock/unlock the truck many times with the key.....I honestly do so many things....until I finally get to turn on the truck but don't know what I did it the first place to fix it.....
has anyone had this happened before....Need help please - I had this happened three times already.!!!!!!!

Stop stealing trucks! Problem solved.
So the truck is locked with the remote, but you say you unlock the truck many times with the key... why don't you use the remote to unlock?

It states in the manual, that if you use the keyless remote to lock the truck, then you must use the keyless remote to unlock the truck.
Using the key in the door will unlock the truck, but also set off the alarm, and I believe it disengages the fuel pump so the motor will crank, but never turn over.
If you use the manual lock on the doors to lock the truck before you close the door, or use the key in the driver's door(since there are no other door key holes) then the truck can be unlocked, using the key without any issue.
The only time the anti-Theft system is activated or de-activated is with the Keyless remote.

Yes, but within seconds before the alarm is set-off, when you put the proper key to the ignition and turn it ON, it should de-activate the alarm and you should be able to drive it.
Something is wrong with his H3, better bring it back to the dealership.

NO. Dеiтайожни wrote, "So the truck is locked with the remote, but you say you unlock the truck many times with the key... why don't you use the remote to unlock?"
A question was asked, but no explanation was given.
Some people don't read the manual, and whether or not 'marqiux' read the manual is not relevant. It is easier to understand the why when you hear the how to. If nothing else, it is a memory refresher.
Trying to help with what I remember reading.

I would say it is the passkey ignition module that needs replacement; however, I'm not there to diagnose. Take it to the dealer and explain what happens.

It begins low for 10 seconds then starts in loud, and flashes the lights on & off.

I just called Hummer and they're saying that if me or someone manually opens/closes the doors without the key fab that would trigger the alarm...the on the truck thinking the truck has been stolen...therefore I shoud then lock the truck with the key fab, open it with the key fab, put the key in the ignition (on) and wait 30 minutes...that would reset the alarm and would allow me to drive the truck... yikes! because what would happen I would return to the truck and try to start it...all it would do it would just crank (try to start) but it'd never start!!! it was so frustrating.......

What are you talking about? It's not a hard concept... you lock with the remote, you unlock with the remote.

My 12 yr old daughter tried to unlock my H3 w/the key and the alarm went off. Needless to say- she's scared to death of it now.

Doesn't matter how you unlock the truck, if using the proper key in the ignition the truck should start. You can smash the window and still start it with the correct key. If the truck in question cranks and fires but dies right away you may be having passlock issues. Needs to be scanned to find out what codes are setting.
