Okay, I have a dopey question to ask.
What is Elcova? Why is the name of the site, The Elcova Forums?
Why not something with Hummer in the name?

It's a part of something larger.
http://www.elcova.com/
http://www.h1source.com/
http://www.h2source.com/
http://www.h3source.com/
These are the actual start pages for the Hummers with the POTM for each site.

ELectronic COmponent Vendors Association (ELCOVA).
Ok well that explains the initials, but who are the members of the assocoation?
Electronic vendors of what? Sony Stereos? Hummer Headlight wiring looms? GM Veh. Air conditioning components?
I'm just curious as to why the site was not named something like 'Hummer Owners' or something similar to Hummer Forums.

Bwahahahahaha! ROFLMAO
Actually (ok - nerd moment) there have been experiments in lining entire rooms in foil or foil like material(s) to protect from the dreaded EMP blast from a high altitude nuclear detonation - all the rage right now with the DoD and the threat posed by Iran or other turds of mass destruction.
Some scientists argue that all vehicles would be disabled (MY POOR HUMMER!!! ARGGGHHHHH) by such a blast but others say that a car is naturally protected because the wavelenghts of EMP are too large to get through the openings on top of and around a vehicle. Essentially, the vehicle's body provides a Faraday Box / Cage principle. The only problem might be the if a wave hits a metal bumper or antenna just right and is carried on into the electrical (i.e. computers) components of the vehicles. Some say that anti-static straps could also bleed off the EMP, leaving the vehicle unscathed. And of course, most older vehicles with a distributor would likely be spared as such a blast would have little or no effect on non-circuit ignitions per se, etc.
I wonder what an H3 would look like wrapped in foil??? :jump:
If we could survive the EMP blast, we could then ferry our H3s to Iran and drive over Ahmadinejad's head - one at a time, lockers engaged, spewing pig's blood from Super Soakers :)
Ok, my quasi-nuclear, electrical engineering physicist, counter-terrorist wannabe rant is now complete. :dancingbanana:

I'm guessing the owner of the site has something to do with that association. The forums are called Hummer Forums by Elcova. It's just a larger network that many different sites can be placed in. No more questions!

So? Anyone care to answer? Moderators?Often when you visit a website and enter the Forum section, the site changes names. Especially those powered by vBulletin. This is not something that's unusual.
If you visit the sites I listed on the FIRST page of this thread you 'll see they are Hummer related in title. It only changes when you visit the forums by clicking the "Forums" link.

Thanks guys. I can sleep now knowing that ELCOVA, is safe and sound.
Interesting idea though on the marketing of the site. Look what evolved from it? Advertising and lots of it.
