Same lady as I whined about last week... I was leaving work yesterday and I was pulling out she waved me down and said I think my tire is going flat, I looked and said "yep" and got back in my H3 and was getting ready to drive when she stops me and said "follow me to sheetz (local version of 7-11) and put air in it" I asked her, "Do I ask you to vacuum my hummer interior? no, so do not ask me to put air in your tire. Besides, a strong woman like you does not need stupid army men like me" and I left. This a.m. I park and I hear a car with flat tire pulling up, yep... it is her, rim ruined... she winds the window down and goes, you will have to change my tire since you did not put air in my tire before it went flat. I did not have a response so I walked in to the office. (It is downpour too). She comes in and looks at me and says I have a meeting at 1000 so I need it changed by then if you want to wait till the rain slows a little (Did I mention I wear ties to work) I told her she better call AAA cause I was not doing it. She gets mad and starts a rant about my inablility to get along with others....

She got a ride to the meeting with a co worker who was not quick enough to get out of the parking lot before she caught them. She will be back in an hour and I am sure I will have to go to the director about this one and nothing will be done......

You must work for the Federal government..... It is the only place where people like her are made supervisors, etc.

If ever there was an appropriate time to use the "C" word.

She's got big enough balls to insist that you change her tire, I suspect she can do it herself.

I can't even imagine.

You need to run a weekly column titled, "My adventures with Satan." They are funny as hell. :jump:

I think Succubus is more appropriate :giggling:

The succubus is characterized as a female counterpart of the incubus. The core of this belief is said to stem from the legend in Jewish folklore of a demon named Lilith. In later Jewish literature, Lilith is identified as Adam's first wife who ran from him instead of acting as his subservient. Following, God sent three angels to bring her back to Adam. If she refused, one of her children would be killed each day

The weekly thread is actually a good idea.
Use it as evidence in your upcoming law suits.
You could come out of it with enough dough to buy a bunch of Hummers.:jump:
Seriously though, you need to file a grievance against that BITCH.

Then she'd want him to tow it to a shop for her. Brother...... Got a thought, could this be sexual harrassment of some sort? I mean, only a GUY can help her out? she only asks the GUYS to help her? Can't wait for more stories. ;)

I'm curious about one thing. Who tells an employee to put air in the tire of a personal vehicle let alone change it?

Where in your job description is that clause? Sounds like a trip to personel, to file a complaint. Your supervisor is trying to get personal work done for her by an employee on company time.

If one of my supervisors told me that, I'd tell him or her to get out a copy of the contract and show me where that clause is listed.
Then if it persisited, I'd go injured and have my delegate explain to the administration why.

As funny as it is to read this, it is not fun to work for her. We have been to the director who simply shook her head at the fact the lady told me I need to get out of the National Guard (a month after returning from Iraq), that fathers should not be single parents, that strong women do not need men, and the constant taking credit for all the office does. She called one of my workers a week after his operation and screamed him that he had to come back to work on the following monday cause he knew she wanted that day off and he scheduled his operation just to inconveince her even though the Dr ordered an addition week of bed rest.

I went to the HR director with my documentation and she sat quietly noding her head then said it sounds like there is a communication problem. Next stop is the comissioners. I spoke to my two friends who are attornies, they both said if we were woman and she was a man we would have attorneys falling over each other to take the case because it would fall under the sexual harrassment laws easily. Being it is 3 males and one female being harrassed, it is just harrassment, a case no attorney wants and is nearly impossible to win.

So in the mean while , I will post her pic today, if I get one, and continue to amuse you with our daily abuse stories.

Listen man, you have an expectation of a trouble free work environment, as well as a reasonable accomodation to personal incidents that arise during your life and employ. If you've notified the right people in your agency/ firm/ company, whatever you call it, and they fail to correct the conditions making your work environment free from harrassment or retribution, then you have a case fro OEEO (Ofice for Equal Employment Opportunity).

You can find the info about it in the blue pages under state offices.

I know you must feel miserable going into that type of work environment everyday. We're laughing because that woman sounds incapable, unreal, and without a clue as to how to treat another human being. What a nightmare. I wonder if you could have a recorder on you to catch some of the ridiculous expectations she has... you know, one of those micro-recorders you could slip in a pocket? Then, take it to a lawyer. A "communication problem"???? Are they joking?? :twak:

Yeah, if the genders were reversed it would be a different story. Men are stereotyped as being stronger and more aggressive than women. This leads to the reverse stereotype that a female manager (who is by nature weaker and less aggressive) couldn't possibly harass a male employee.

I'm not surprised you got so little sympathy from your female director about your female manager. It's easier for people to assume that any perceived harassment from the woman stems from the man's inability to accept her authority, rather than her belligerence or incompetence.

What's your company's policy on "hostile work environment"? If you have one, that would sidestep the gender issue and get to the core of her irrational behavior.

I think that chick from Drew Cary - HOT - for a planetary, gas giant that is!!

Seriously though, Scouts Out, it sounds like you work for a county government, judging by your commissioner comment. Once upon a time, I worked a county job for 2.5 years. The director of the office I worked in was female and also had similar mental issues as does your boss.

Despite numerous "official inquiries" into my former boss's behavior and a proven incident of "serious financial mismanagement", the county never fired her. She was allowed to torment the employees for another five years before she retired. I left well before that - the only sane move that I could work out. I ended up with Uncle Sam after that. Unfortunately, such crap exists here as well on many different levels and the people who are supposed to handle it frequently do not - at least to the extent they should. I wonder if there is a true, friendly work environment these days...
