Ordered my 2004 H2

Last week I ordered my 2004 H2. I've been buzzing the dealer and reading this forum for 4 months. Last Thursday I did it, I ordered the 2004 Puter LX Sunroof Nav. Oh what a feeling sitting at the manager's desk with butterflys in my stomach. I should have it late Sept. If anybody is looking for a 2004 I can hook you up with my Dealer. I've never felt better about making a new car deal.

Actually I didn't order it. The manager agreed to sell me one of 60 he has on order for $ 500 over invoice. I was looking at the orders he placed with the factory and picked one. Because they aren't in production there is no vin # yet. Im getting the first Puter LX Surf Nav that comes of the truck. We figured it will be about 51,000 + tax & lisc. I did drop $ 25,000 down to secure the deal.

How did you approach the manager to get it at $500 over invoice?
I'm hoping to order one that way also..
Any tips on how to get to that point?

I had been at the dealer at least 12 times in three months I drove the truck twice. Three months ago they weren't dealing. Two months ago they were giving 3,000 of sticker. Last month they were giving 4,000 off. I had been talking to the manager trying to get financed. I stopped by again one day and was passing past his office, he asked me when i was going to buy. i told him when they give me 6,000 off. He told me no way, they could only do 4,000, 3,000 off sticker plus some 1,000 gm special deal. i almost did it but i told him i wouldn't be happy with a 03 in 2 months when the 04's are rolling. i told him how my dad bought me my 94 trans am back when they were new and hot. the dealer up the street wanted 10,000 over sticker. my dad got the invoice added 500 and faxed it to all the dealers in the area. one dealer faxed him back and he made the deal. after we chatted for a while he told me he would sell me one at 500 over. we shook hands.

How do you know what the price is? My dealer said he won't know "invoice" until one hits the lot. He did say he would sell at $1,000.00 over invoice but could not tell me invoice.

Fever, Same here he didn't know the pricing yet. $ 1,000 over is a deal too go for it. I looked up the invoice online do a search on yahoo. 2004 hummer invoice. The Base invoice is going to be 45,000 add Lux package about 1,900 sunroof 1,200 and nav 1,700 destination charge 850 and 500 over we are looking at about $ 51,000. we looked up the ones he had ordered none had vin's yet so they arent in the final stage of production. they are coming soon. let's keep in touch.

csx, Let me know how it works out and how you like it...if it will be worth getting the 04 over the 03, I am getting ready to purchase mine, however I want to wait to around December because thats when my lease is over on my Navigator, and hopefully they will have some deals on the 04.

You know it may be better to wait on the 04 as 03 was the first model year. Any problems with the 03's should be ironed out.

Fever, I was at the dealer last Thursday. We were lookig at the 2004's he had on order each one has a code. There was a Black with LX Sun Roof and Nav. It was three steps into production one step before the vin'# is generated. There was nothing about waiting till January for Nav. I will keep you posted.

Went to my dealer today. They told me my 2004 with factory Nav is in transit. OOOHHHH YYYEEEAAAHHHH
