I was thinking of chrome plating a Gobi rack and ladder?

Any thoughts?

Please note that I am not really looking to get into a bling or no bling debate.

Looking for constructive comments on cost, durability, doability or anything else important. I am also looking for a good chrome plating company.

Wow, I never thought about that. I'm sure there are some companies out there that can do it.

I would guess that it would be cost prohibitive (Read Expensive!) labor wise.
It would take along time to polish all of the little nooks and crannies and if you did, keeping it clean and preventing rust would be a full time job.
There are other alternatives to chrome plating.
How about powder coating? Some of the brighter silver colors could be applied.

Check local plating companies. If not check a motorcycle shop. They would have a contact for you. Your only limitations will be the size. Big is not better - some times.

Then again the suggestion of powder coating sounds good.

First off DON'T post the picture (2 bright)

But even more important... CHROME is smoothe and sliperly.

Have fun climbing the ladder when its wet
