Anyone have a manufacturer of the dvd players in the headrest for the H3 so they can color match the interior. My local guy told me my vehicle is too new. Is there any certain size I can ask for.Or a certain company. I am looking for the audiovox player screen combo in each headrest.

A good local installer should be able to add them to the original headrest. No need to buy new ones.

If you go that route I would say the extra $100 is a no brainer if you have more than one kid/person riding back there all the time.

I was up at the dealer in Milwaukee the other day. They have a system that is 2 separate dvd players in the headrests. The actual player itself is in the headrest. They work independant of each other. They wanted $2295 for the pair installed. I'm thinking I may go that route. The warranty is even 4yr/50k like the truck! I'm sold on this system. The guys up there are great!

Ester, while I think the guys at Bergstrom are a group of great guys, they have a high mark up on their parts. Which is fine! They are in the biz to make money. That visualogix system is very nice! You can order through trailduty for waaaaaaayyyyyyy cheaper and have a local car toys (or someone along those lines) put in in for about $100. You can also hook this in to your factory stereo if you want the sound to go through your speakers instead of just the wireless headphones.
Good luck either way.

I had the dealer put in the dual (2 dvd players & video game jacks) vizualogic A-1000. I paid $2400. I have checked online for the price and the cheapest I have found them for was just below $1900. Crutchfield has a site showing how to install them.

The H3 headrests are just filled with foam, where most other headrests have some hard plastic or something in them. What this means is if you have nothing but foam, you don't have anything to bite onto when you're installing a screen in the headrest. It can still be done, but it's a little trickier. I would leave that install to a pro. That way, you're not having to buy a couple headrests if you screw up.

fwiw, ive seen 2 seperate dealers have the headrest dvd players installed on their floor model h3. looked sharp. if it was me, i would just get the eclipse dvd/nav system in the dash, and i would forgo 2500 bucks in dvds for the back for 2 hand held dvd players for whatever price u wanna spend.
or better yet, a couple of archos'

AUDIOVOX just released their built in DVD full replacement Headrest system. 2 7" screens with a DVD in each headrest, all interior colors available. I personally recommend them over the VIZUALOGIC, but to each is his own. I have been using the AUDIOVOX for 5 months and have yet to replace anything.

Anyone have an opinion on this package. Seems too cheap. Hummer H3 LCD Headrests (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Hummer-H3-Headrests-LCD-Entertainment-Package-Neutral_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38650QQitemZ800 3928360QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW)

$439 for two headrests with LCD's.

Comes up $599 for me - still sounds pretty good though.

I emailed the seller. There are two packages. The $439 has a lower resolution LCD and no wireless headsets. The $599 version has higher res LCD (looks to be same specs as Vizualogic), wireless controller and gaming. I'm guessing he's buying headrests and then just putting systems together. He mentioned that the DVD was a PYLE. I'm not familiar with mobile audio/video, so I don't know if it's a good brand or not. I might stop by a local car audio place in the next day or so and ask them what options they offer. I wasn't planning on adding this feature, but for $700 or so installed, it might be nice. I wish the DVD player was integrated. It guess you could probably hook up a PS2 to allow for two people to watch different movies or have one play games while watching.

Going to pick it up in about an hour!!! Had the AUIDIOVOX 7" monitors built right in to the new head rests.(The ebony with grey piping)Each headresy has its own DVD and the remote allows you to configure fromm 2 screens watching a movie to seperate movies,or have the gamecube on 1 and a movie on the other or bamecube on both. Also have them wire it into the Monsoon speaker system so the kids don't have to wear the headphones all the time.

I finally scored a good deal ($935 off eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8067830577&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1)) on the dual DVD factory headrest units. The only problem is they are not leather. Is it correct for me to assume it won't be too difficult for my local car audio guy to swap into my factory leather headrests.

Anyone have suggestions on installing an xBox? Now that I have the DVD players, I figure the xBox will complete the deal.

What should I expect to pay for the install?

Sorry, can't answer your questions but do have a question for you. Are these the same units that you get at the dealership, the ones that were on the promo? I am looking to tap into the A/V feed from the drivers side unit and split it so I can feed both my nav unit and the passenger side headrest. Could you take some pics of the control box and cables that come with you unit, I would really appreciate it. I am not sure where they installed the control box and the only cables I can find are 6 pin din cables
