Does anyone have the 6' Adv. rack as opposed to the 8'??

For those with the 8' and a Sunroof, does the 8' affect the sunroof at all - like creating more wind noise or partially blocking the sun / wind?

Just curious, we are making are first road trip with the new little Ninja baby (7 weeks old!) and need more space! I finally convinced my wife that we need to get a rack b/c we also have a large Golden who gets most of the cargo area and the car seat takes up half the rear seats.

Apparently, I can't pack things, even soft pillows, all around the baby, ...he needs his space!

So, it's either the 6' or the 8' and I'd prefer the 8' but if it creates more wind noise and/or blocks the wind, I may go 6!

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I have had a few Gobi racks. (8 of them) I have always done the 8ft stealth for a couple of reasons.
1) I can still fit in the garage amd most parking garages. (it's close, but it fits).
2) The stealth rack is quiet. The fairing is great for keeping wind noise down and out of your sunroof. I took off the factory delfector in front of the sunroof. It's easier to clean up there. It does not block the sunroof, but you do see the front part of the rack wher the lightbar is. It sit more forward than your factory wind deflector though.

the fullsize rack is nice but you loose the garage. Also if you have the lights up there or not, they are loud...esp. with the sunroof open. (only on the fullsize rack though).

So if you're looking for add cargo room, with the least ammount of wind noise and have the option down teh raod of mounting lights up there, go with an 8ft stealth.
