I was talking to I guy I know he installs navagation auto start ect .Says he can get me a GM am fm cd dvd nav rear camera in dash set up for $2000.00 installed .He said no problem with the on star.Is that a good deal or do you think I'll have problems. He does installations for the local nissan guy and other dealerships.I dont know him that well but he has a good reputation.
I was going to call dealer to see how much they would want just to compare .

That is a fair price IF it includes the nav disc and programming the unit with a Tech II. Make sure that the unit is compatible with your audio system (monsoon or non). Keep in mind that the oem navs tend to be a little under powered so it may have less volume than you currently have. Should be good to go though. For that price, I woould also look at aftermarket units as they typically offer considerably more features and sound quality than the oem.

We've had problems with the H2/GM unit in my H3.

Curious--what kind of problems have you been having? Audio/sound or software/interface?
