I was having some work done and my Jeep this weekend. When talking tothe guys at the shop our conversation some how turned to your H2's and H3's and to my suprise, it was a pleasent conversation...

These guys were "full blown" jeepers.....Yet after showing them some pictures, video's, and trip reports from this forum and trail run's I've ran with some of you......they gave major "props" to all of you and had not even one bad thing to say about either vehicle....

It's fun to show people what you all are capable of that otherwise without this site would have no idea. They are very eager to come along with some of us Colorado folk and check them out!

That's really cool, Moonie. I think people just get surprised when they see Hummers on dirt rather than asphalt.

Yeah, there's a quite a shock factor when you come rolling into the sea of Jeeps in the parking lot, all shiny and chromed up, and then leave covered in mud. :D Maybe on Nov. 11, there will be a few Hummer rolling into Paragon, instead of just one or two...

What I have learned is that wheelers appreciate wheelers. The whole "this brand vs that brand" game will rage on forever, but there is a foundation of respect for anyone that takes on truly challenging trails.

I have gained tons of respect on my trips with offroad clubs with non-Hummers, simply because people who had not seen one in action get an idea of what the rig can really do. All the previous assumptions (too big, too heavy, independant suspension is no good for offroad) go out the window...
