Just ordered a set of these from Tire Rack. Due to numerous recommendations from people I know, these are great blades to have in all weather.
No mechanism to freeze up with chunks of snow causing streaks. No problem with them lifting off the windshield above 50 mph as snow blades are famous for in the winter.
Tire Rack currently has them on a sale of buy one, get one for free.
Just thought I would let ya'll know.

Those look very similar to the Reflex wiper blades that I bought for my H2. I could only find a small photograph of them online. Hopefully you have better luck with Valeo than I did with Reflex. :)

Couldn't find the new Bosch Icons in the H3 size so I tried the Reflex blades. They streaked something awful so I put the oems back on.

told to stay away from the reflex and use only Valeo Ultimate (common on new GM vehicles), Trico Innovisions or the Bosch. Almost purchased the Bosch at Auto Zone when I picked up my Silverstars, but decided to order the Valeos since that is what the five I know are using them. That five does not count the ones that came standard on GM cars, these were added on after the cars were purchased.

I'll have to see about ordering a set, maybe. They sound better than what I'm using now.

They use those on mercedes-benz also. They work great when they are new. But skip like crazy when they get slightly worn. Should change them every season.

Ordered a 2 for 1 set from tirerack.com and installed them yesterday. 17" fit great and make full contact with the glass on both sides like f5 said they would.
Haven't had any snow to test them in yet, but it was below freezing last night and there was no streaking, squeeking or freezing on the blades during normal wash and wipe.
Thanks f5 :beerchug:

To my dismay, I have had a chance to test them in snow and spraying salt. They work great.
As for replacing each season, I do that already. For some reason, blades seem to last only about six months before deteriorating.

OK guys, based on your recommendations, I just ordered a set from tirerack.com. I did some research and they got excellent reviews during a harsh Canadian winter (what country is that in?). Just letting you know that I'm holding you completely accountable. ;)

I use Gillette wiper blades. 5 blades in one and the precision of one blade (battery powered of course)
ok f5fstop- do you have a link to order them? I'm in need.....

I think I might take the wipers off my car. It only rains about three times a year here.

Just ordered a set tonight. Anything is better than the stock wipers or the Winter Blades.

Anyone tried this blade? https://secure.nsvirtualflow.com/silblade/select_vehicle.cfm
I'm a little leary of tirerack as they still owe me a $25 rebate on tires I bought from them for my F-150 that I traded for the H3. Been over a year now, but they keep telling me "It's being processed".

I hear they're excellent blades, but the frame is still hinged, so I'd expect ice build up on the hinge in winter.
This was my first purchase from tirerack.com but it went smooth and shipped fast. The "2 for 1" was a little confusing because they just cut the price per unit in half, but I figured that out when I updated the quantity to 1 and back.
Just ordered mine:excited:

Best part is you won't get ice/snow buildup between the arm and the blade as on the stock design. That was the problem I encountered last year. Had to stop repeatedly and knock the frozen snow out between the blade and the arm.

Mine arrived yesterday from Tirerack. Put 'em on during lunch. Now waiting for the weather. It's been in the 50s in Upstate NY!! Where's the snow????

wait and wait and wait...took my H3 in on Tuesday for an oil change/tire rotation, a new passenger door handle (2nd one for my h3), new roof rails and a windshield vibration noise that was driving me insane. I was told that I could pick it up Wednesday afternoon. Wed. I get a call saying the dealership is waiting for parts, H3 will be ready thurs. Thursday comes around and yeah you guessed it. Still not ready. Friday comes along...STILL not ready. No clue why it took the service dept. 4 days to finish the work but I'm happy to finally have my H3 home again. Now all I gotta do is put the new blades on and I'm good to go!
Almost forgot- the dealership completely detailed the inside/outside of my H3 as well....washed it, waxed it the whole 9yds. I didn't request this nor did they charge me for it. It REALLY makes me wonder exactly what they were doing w/my H3 when it was in for service. Things that make ya go hmm........

I'm so glad it's yet to snow here. I hate snow. I don't mind the cold- it's the snow that's a pain in the ass

Is it bad to quote oneself> :)
Ok, after about a month.
Good:
I like the ability of these wipers to keep the windshield clean without steaks. Although there are some, at times. Less then the standard wiper.
Bad:
On both wipers now, the end cap becomes damaged. Passenger side, end cap came off at some point. Don't think it was me while brushing snow off the truck. Driver's side (today), the end cap was on but had been slightly chipped underneath. ON both, this allows the medle splines to widen, and the wiper basically splits open/frays its ends, and is just about useless. I also notice that ice can freeze up on it easily which affects how well it pouts pressure across the whole windshield.
So for sunner use, I like them much better. For winter, I am not sure. Sice I haven't used them thru a summer yet, I can't tell what is causing the end cap issue to fail.
oh, I'll try to get some pics in a few days.

I've put these wipers on both my H3 & the wifes Cadillac SRX. One of the wipers on the SRX is starting to chatter. No end cap problems yet.

I keep alcohol wipes in my glove box. About every week i wipe my blades down with them. With all the crud on the road it definitely helps!

I bought the Valeo's as well after reading about them here. (used them as "filler items" on a cardomain order to get free shipping)
They seem to work pretty well, but the passengers side doesn't sweep the top 1" or so. It catches it on the down strokes, but at vertical position it is raised up off the windshield. I've been meaning to pull it off and compare the shape to the driver's side, but haven't yet.
Both are 17", I'm wondering if the passenger's side arm doesn't put enough pressure on the top to keep it on the surface. ???

I haven't had any issues with my Valeo wipers. In fact- I like 'em so much I bought 6 more pair.

The Bosch wipers mentioned look pretty similar. Bet they work just as well.
Anyway, I like the wipers, but in my case they both broke. The one pic with some red outlines shows (blurry) where some plastic broke which allowedthe metal spline to pop out and that's all she wrote.
Not much luck with mine. Ordered two pair off the bat, one didn't lay right on the windshield and trashed it right off. Passenger side of the the set on now doesn't make a full, clean swipe. Lifts off at the edges and leaves a big swath right in the middle.
Not too happy with them..... :(

If anyone cares :)...
After a couple months, my Valeos failed. Both of them. And the one I repaired with epoxy failed as well. Went out and bought 2 Bosch Icon blades this past weekend. They look similar to the Valeo. A few H2'er said they had 'em on their rigs and liked em. So I'm giving them a shot. I bought 2 17" blades. They fit fine. I'll let y'all know if they hold up longer than the Valeos.

I have a set of Valeos also, but once we had snow and ice they fell apart. Right now I've got them taped together with electrical tape until I can replace them.

DO yourself a favor and pass on the Trico's at Advance Auto. The right side wiper broke within a month and had also quit clearing the very middle of the windshield (line of sight of course). The left one has about a three inch area where it fails to clear. Advance Auto would not replace the defective blade without a receipt. I bought another one toget me through the season and then I will be looking for better ones, regardless of cost. And I did keep the receipt this time...
