Built a storage drawer system for the rear cargo area. Here are some pics and details. Turned out great, the trays are a tight fit allowing for them to be pulled out just like a drawer.
This is pic of empty cargo area:

I had less than $100 into project and about three hours labor. Great storage for tools and what not. The wife saw it and said that would work great for vegetables and bread.... WTF.
One final shot from passenger compartment.

Nice job!
Great solution
Did you bolt it into the stock tie down locations?
Do you have the dimensions/plans of the box.
Is it pretty level with the back seat?
You can even mix some cement in the drawers if you have too:)

Yes it is bolted into stock location for tie downs. I used 10mmX70mm 1.5 bolts to bolt it down.
The box is 30x40 outside dimensions, the top is 30x42 1/4 to extend all the way to rear quarter panels. I have 6" clear hgt in box for trays. I haven;t checked to see how it lines up with rear seats down.

I got the rubber mat at Tractor Supply, it was a 4x6 stall mat that I cut to size.

That's pretty cool... About the only suggestion I'd make is wrapping the end cuts with black vinyl just to make it looked more finished.. Rattlecan on plywood just looks like.. Well.. Rattle can on plywood
Not that you could tell either way when the door is closed..
Do the tubs fill the entire depth of the shelf or is there even more room behind them to hide more stuff..??

I have black vinyl stair nosing on order for that exact reason.
Tubs are 28" long, box has 29 1/4" clear inside.

It's about 2-3" higher than rear seats folding down, which wouldn't make for a very large storage area if I tried to flush it with rear seats down.
