I, as well as most of you, no doubt got the Rubber compartment mat for the center console.
I saw on the '07's a small mat that sits in the Change Tray in front of the Shifter. Must be a New item for '07?

What I'd like to know is whether or not GM has a part listing for a Mat that is made to go inside the right and left side compartments in the H3 rear cargo area? I'd like to have something from the OEM, to keep things from sliding around in there. Not to mention, it will match the mats in the center console compartment and maybe the Tray.

There is a small rubber mat made out of the same material as the cup holder, inside of the center arm rest console.
Do you know the item? Do you have one?

Crap, I read that again and I know what ya mean, I had a mat made out of rubber. I use it to keep the few tools I carry quiet and the other side holds the Strobe box.
I wish that there was a mat made for the back of the seats when folded down, my dog is always sliping back there.

What did you do? Just cut a sheet of rubber to fit he dimensions of the Cargo area's compartments?
The folks with the Monsson sound system, only have one compartment on the right, but I got the stock radio and have one on the left also where the sub woofer would go.

It seems like a dopey question, but little things like this are usually thought up when the vehicles are designed. The dimensions are exact and the part fits precisley. Why all of a sudden does the '07 come with one in the change tray? I Guess GM's design team thought it would make things easier to pick up and keep items from sliding around.

Yes, I had some rubber padding we use at the park. I made a template out of cardboard and then cut the rubber, I also used spray glue to keep in place.
I to have the basic stereo, and am glad that I do. The one thing the H3 is lacking is storage. And that lil extra area is nice to have.

Agreed. There is more room for transporting cargo in my wife's Envoy, than in my H3, but I didn't buy the truck for that. I just wanted a Hummer, and the H3 won over the H2, simply because of it's lines and styling. I like to call my H3 a "Sports Truck", similar to the 'Sports Car', because it looks like it will carry a lot, but the perception is deceiving.

If I could, I would have gotton the Original H1, in the Military configuration, but I just didn't have $150,000. available. :giggling:

I think a trip to the dealer may be in order today to see if this idea is being developed.

Yes, I had a fullsize quad cab ram before. But I needed a SUV and this was the only one I liked, I didn't need the storage. I bought it for my 17 year old dog that could no longer ride in the back set of the truck. I bought soley for him to be able to still come with me everywhere I went. He passed away 6 month later but he rode to the very last day.
I too wanted the H1, but it wasn't just the price that turned me away it was more of how the stering wheel was so close. I know that I could move the rails back on the seat, but at the time I wasn't thinking about that. Now I am glad I bought the H3, I can park it everywhere and anywhere.
And as for going to the dealer, I am afraid to. :giggling: they see me coming!
