New H3

Just took my new 2007 black H3 automatic Adv package to the beach to break it in. Very impressed with ability in soft very loose and deep sand. Had a few questions (1) Notice a thick yellow grease in right wheel well and under right side of body, looked at drive train and noticed nothing? (2) Experienced a low whinning noise only with 4 low engaged, have had many 4wd prior to the H3 and never experienced this noise before?

Not an expert. But check the boot for the right front half axle. Sounds like it might be leaking.

Mine whines in 4WD Low, too, but I've read this is normal. I've heard it on othe 4WDs I've owned, but the 46 CJ was the worst!:fdance:

The gear wine in low range is normal.
The Adventure package has 4:1 low and the planetary gears are realy spinning fast when you get above 5 mph
